I was on my labtop (Toshiba kind) and my water spilled on it! sad.gif Now it won't work at all! When I try to get on nothing comes up even though the light that says if it is on or not is on. My mom thinks I might have shorted it. Is there a way to fix this or am I stuck using this huge computer I'm using at the moment?

Try taking some canned air (like what you'd use to get dust out from the keyboard) and spray some on to your power connection.

I recently spilled some soda on my laptop, but it was just a few drops. Funny thing is, just a few drops kept it from working properly. We ended up wiping up as much as we could (and turning it over to let it drip out), and then just waited a while for things to dry out. Everyhting has been fine since then.

It was on. And it was a LOT of water that spilled on it. If I let it make these weird noises when I first turn it on, it'll let me use it now, but I'm not sure if those noises are good or bad....

I can tell you right now, any piece of equipment making noises it ain't supposed to is not a good thing. You might want to have it looked at by a professional.

A few questions:

1. Do you remember where you purchased it?
2. How old is it? (If it is not that old, it might still be under the manufacturer's warranty)
3. Did you, when you purchased it, buy an extended warranty?
4. Do you still have the proof of purchase?
