So last month we were happily streaming our broadcasts when not one, but two of our providers had issues. Suddenly, instead of Hark the Herald Angels it was - HARK, I can' hear anything from Celtic Radio!

Changing providers has always been a major production for us, so we decided to automate the process so we can quickly change providers in about 30 seconds. That way we have minimal down time because in the event of a catastrophic server meltdown from one of our streaming providers or an upgrade that goes wrong - we can quickly get everyone back up and listening quickly through one of our backup servers.

With that, both Highlander Radio and Celtic Moon have moved once again. The new links and players are available using the TUNE IN button on all of our pages. For premiums members that use a direct link, those links are available on the player pages.

For Tune-In and Streema customers, the links will be updated soon.

That is a great enhancement, having redundant services for ISP is something I just went through in our business due to the hurricane threat in our area. We had to do the transfer through transferring services from wire to fiber when one service went down and now we have a managed service that pools and allocates the bandwidth through both services and it makes our service much more efficient and less labor intensive when one service drops. If they both go down we are stuck but you can only protect yourself so much.

Thank you for the continued enhancements for our listening pleasure! thumbs_up.gif
