Celtic Radio Community > The Jester's Court > Symbols Beside Topic Names

I have a silly question...

On the boards that list the names of the various topics, sometimes a little emoticon appears. For instance, looking just at the General Discussion menu, there is a topic called Van Helsing, beside it there appears a little beer mug. Beside ComeSay Hello there is a heart. Beside It's Done: 1000! there is a smiley face. Who puts those symbols there? Why? What do they mean?

Inquiring minds want to know....

There's an option to set those when you're starting a new thread. Just like the post icons when replying.

There is actually a select group of behind the scenes people that run the board. Don't try and guess who they might be, it is secret. Besides they never post anything themselves, but they are the ones that put up those emoticon thingies. Those have a secret meaning and show whether that topic should be responded to and in what manner. Then they activate the tiny receivers that have been secretly installed in our minds and dictate the post. That secret group of people is usually referred to as the Illuminati (nowadays, most folks just call them the Trilateral Commision). They are in control of everything, didn't you know that? That is why if you were to see any of us, me or Raven or Todd or Maisky (well, not to sure about Maisky) as we post we are careful to keep our aluminum foil hats in place to deflect those secret rays. Otherwise I would be completely unable to even post this answer and just be putting drivel up here saying things like, "Those are options the initiator of the topic can select." I am not too sure but I sort of suspect that Shamalama knows who they are, I will have to email him and ask but then he probably won't be able to tell me anyway. Or else he will hop in his black helicopter and zip down here and take care so that I can never snitch again.

Now that you have the info, what are you going to do with it? The fate of the world could be in your hands.

Leo, now The Man is going to be onto you. And how am I to refresh my supply of aluminum foil. You know They control the aluminum industry. Boy, you really buggered it up this time.

Leo I have to disagree. I was holding down the boards at 1am this morning(CST) Just me and my new friend Googlebot, and we were talking about this exact topic in chat. He/she talked me into simply removing that aluminum foil from my head (it was making my hair dye all streaky any way) and everything became sort of dream like and Googlebot materialized in my office at which point it was as if a never before seen episode of King of the Hill was playing right here in my home only somewhat different.

See what I mean.

Now Raven, be a good idea to see if that watermelon thing growing in your bedroom closet is really a watermelon or something else.

I would have nailed the boards in place. Then no one can get in or out without being seen. With the aluminum hats they won't be able to get you!

Anybody heard from Raven lately? I guess we should probably assume it's too late now. Next time we hear from him he will be the other Raven, looks the same but makes too much sense and is always polite.

Beware of the contrails.

You don't really believe this hooey do ya? Talk about consipiracy theories. I mean, hey, if this was a real conspiracy, it would have come up on the X Files before it went off the air.

Posted by: Herrerano 10-May-2004, 01:13 PM
One has to ask, why did the X-Files go off the air?

(Hoping the guy in the office next to mine spontaneously combusts this afternoon.)

Good question. Hmm.... Maybe they were about to get too close to the truth. Maybe the truth is no out there, but in here. Hmm...

I would respond to all of this but they told me that if I said anything that they would get rid of me!

Who in the...
What are YOU doing here?
NO! DON'T DO THAT!
