Hi everyone,

I've come across the subject of prophetic dreams a lot lately, and began wondering how common they are? Doesn't everyone have them from time to time? Shadows, this is your special field. What have you found to be true?

I can't speak for others, so wouldn't dare to venture how common the phenomenom of prophetic dreams might be.

I rarely remember my own dreams, but those I do remember are very often prophetic in nature. Also in my own case, the feeling of "deja-vu" often refers to such a dream which was often a warning or form of guidance. By remembering the lesson of the dream I can respond to the situation accordingly.

I know that it proves nothing, but what the heck, at least I'm still alive to write about it and some of those warnings regarded very hazardous situations.

Like Swanny, I too have dreams that I rarely remember. But the five that I have had, has come true.

I have not made my mind up about deja-vos. Even though I do have them from time to time, I am never quit sure what they are or how they are to interpreted.

Dreams are either teaching you a lesson from your past ( recent or removed ) or showing you what to expect! Sometimes the dream of prophesy is way in the future and not to be looked for in an immediate time. Those that teach from the past should be listened too and quickly!

You are the one that needs to determine what is immediate or in the future; Your life is reflected in your dreams, learn to know all about them and how to live by them! If you learn to recognise the symbolisms of what has happened as opposed to what is to come... your life will improve!

As Swanny has said... learn by them.

I have dreams all of the time in which my subconscious is sorting out the things that don't make sense when chaos reigns in the daylight. I can't ever say I've had a prophetic one. I have had prophetic signs shown to me in nature, one in particular that was very moving and helped me make an important decision, but never a dream. I'm envious. Then again, maybe I don't have them because I am better off not knowing what is coming.

Richard-

I'm not too sure about deja-vu either. I have this at least once a week. In the store the other day, there was an older woman.(80's) and she was walking towards the check out. I saw her drop her bag from another store. But she didn't notice. One of my boys picked it up and ran to her. I Know I have seen this. I know it never happened before. So I don't know what to think.(other than proud he gave it to her and didn' pilpher it. is that spelled right?)

I was talking to my sister about dreams a while ago. She told me she rarely remembers a dream. She doesn't think she even has them. I on the other hand can honestly say I remember at least 90% of my dreams. I write them down all the time.

What do you think about controlling dreams? It may seem odd, but when I go to bed, I have my cd's set up in order. I listen to certain things to dream a certain way. I have even had dreams that continue from a previous night. I actually use my dreams to write.

I know...... wink.gif I'm odd.

Take care

I have had at least 5 prophetic dreams to my life. As Shadows pointed out that often prophecy is not played out immediately I may have had more that I have not realized as yet.

Also I have periods of strong Deja Vu that I really believe are dreams that I did not commit to active memory. Sometimes even being able to know what will happen in the immediate next smile.gif

While it is interesting to me I have always lived my life by logic and I do not concern my self with what I dream unless it's really weird. I am a very creative person so I feel like a lot of my weird dreams are just a manifestation of this.

On another prophetic note. I used to ignore my gut on issues where all of the visable evidence would contradict what my gut feeling was. I have found this to be a bad idea as my gut is right almost 100% of the time. I often wonder if I am subconsciously picking up on aspects of any given situation that are not quite so obvious and that is why my gut is so acurate.

Too often for comfort here. Good to know I am not alone, though I never thought I was. I have heard that those who are analytical and pay closer attention to self and others tend to recognize it more and that is why it seems to happen to them more. Still seeking answers to stuff for myslef. Please enlighten me, anyone who can. unsure.gif

Well, they are not regular with me but at least 2 or 3 times a week I will have a dream in which I do something, watch something etc and catch myself thinking: hey, I dreamed this?!
As a difference to my usual dreams I can remember even the smalles detail of things, what I am doing, feeling, saying, the way a leaf lies on the ground.. whatever...
Mostly my dreams (normal ones, I dream alot) are hazy in the next morning, not those.
Mostly they come true a few days later but with big events and big dreams it sometimes takes a while longer.
I have tried to change the run of things often, sometimes by just not leaving the house on a particular day or whatever it was... just not reacting to things I would usually react to, etc. But somehow they manage to always come true.. creepy things, dreams.

I couldn't enlighten you much, Mary, but I can tell you some things I got tested on.

I know the leading parapsychologist of the area in Germany where I come from and I had alot of good talks with him and he agreed to test me on a few things.
My precognition is far above the average, I couldn't respond to actual questions of what would happen but I could detect the way things would work out sporadically and more often than others.
I also react alot to bodylanguage. More than others do. From the bodylanguage I seem to be able to detect intentions very early because I seem to keep a close look on others.. I did not detect that myself but that's what Dr. Gordon said.

My stats on some other tests (telepathy, empathy) were quite low, but since my recognition of bodylanguage seems to be good I compensate for that by reading peoples bodies instead of languages.

I am not able to tell you what's true or not, it's just some things we did out of the actual order of things after I told Dr. Gordon about my "prophetical" dreams

I can't say that I've had prophetic dreams. Although I don't tend to dream often, when I do there is probably some reflection of the world I find myself in in my waking hours. I remember that when I was atill in school for example, a few nights before school started back I would dream that I was running around late to every class and confused about where I was supposed to be and when. While I was seeking employment, I dremt on occasion that I was back in High School, but I was there with the experiences I have had since (Having already been through college, and understanding so much more than the students around me).

Night before last, I had a dream where I had been imprisoned for something or another, and each day they sent you to a different job than the one they had you doing before, presumably as you proved yourself in doing one thing, they would put you to something else. Third day I was in the same position in the dream as what I do for pay in my waking hours. The environment was radically different though. In the dream it was in a large, bare, concrete building with huge ventalation fans near the ceiling. Days, I work in a cube farm in what used to be the old Wal-Mart building (carpeted now instead of tile). This is not the first time I've dreamt of work since starting this job either. Last spring I had nightmares of work being busy (50 in queue all day long). In the dream I just took them one at a time knowing I would eventually wake up. A few weeks later, on a Saturday, we were 80 in queue all day long. I just took the calls one at a time knowing that it wasn't going to get any better and knowing I would eventually get to log out and go home.

There is one dream that I would like to have again, or see a related version of though. A couple of months ago I had the dream that kicked off my story. In it, I saw this drop dead gorgous lady who is my main character (only saw her human form in the dream). One thing I failed to notice, and have been wondering since I started... Where are her gills? I want to see her again, to find out for certain.

RW,

Last nite I had a vision of the eagle and the raven ; the eagle screamed again and then the raven soared to the tree top nest. You know of what I speak.
Keep hope alive!
