Hullo =)
I want to introduce myself a bit tho I think that you'll get to know me better when I posted some things.
I came across this board after I searched the site after I listened (or better: I am still listening) to your radio station (that's braw min! ;)    ).
I'm German and I am still living there although I want to change that in future. When everything works out the right way I'll be living in Edinburgh soon.

I don't know what to tell you about myself. I'm spending all my holydays in Scotland and not only because of the wonderful country it is =)

So, I'm running out of what to tell about me.
I'm off for noo.
C ya

:)

Welcome Aon Daonna!

Hope you'll join us in the chat room this evening. Though if you're living in Germany we'll understand as we're planning it for 9:30 Eastern Standard time so would me the wee early morning hours in Europe. But if you are up and want to join in feel free is always a lot of fun.  :D

HI Aon Daonna!

Welcome!  You are the same age as my youngest daughter, her birthday is Oct.18, 1982.  Glad to have you here.  So you will be moving to Edinburgh?  Sounds really great to me. :D  Take Care!!!

:) Welcome! Welcome Aon Daonna!
It is nice to see new people. Even better to know we have an other one in Europe.

Hi Aon_Daonna!!

First, let me welcome you to our message board! As you can see, it is a very friendly lot of individuals. If you ever have any questions or just want to talk about anything, post a message! I'm sure you will get a reply in no time!

Can understand that the chat time may not be good for our European friends! In fact, Scottish2 had suggested a while ago that we come up with an alternative chat time for Europe, so perhaps now is a good time for that.

Again, welcome to the board!!!

Posted by: Aon_Daonna 09-Apr-2002, 06:27 AM
Thank you all for your warm welcome! =)))

I do enjoy posting here :)

About the chat time: the time would be around 3.30 my time (if I didn't mis-calculate it...). I think I can only join that when I come home late...

Perhaps 2 hours earlier would be better, tho I dunno if anyone of you can be online at that time.

Posted by: scottish2 09-Apr-2002, 06:33 AM
Well why don't we try this at least for now until things change which never do since it's open 24/7  :D

But why not make Saturdays at 9:30 for those here state side and for those in Europe you set the time that is best for you on Sundays. This will be most likely mid to late afternoon here so at least I can make it on most Sundays. I know if it's 8PM local time in Scotland that's 3PM here so good for me as well. So give us some times which work for you and we can post the alternate chat times for those of you in Europe. Probably best to take the eastern most timezone in Europe and work with that. That seems to work here we set the time via EST and the others are all earlier so usually works pretty good. So give us some suggested times which work best for you European folks! :)

hmmmm.....
I think anytime during daytime or early evening will do =)
Best would be betweem 2pm and midnight I think...
But I can only talk for myself.

Posted by: Macfive 09-Apr-2002, 09:55 AM
Great idea! I think 2:00 p.m. (est) would work out to be about 8:00 in Europe??? How about we schedule a half hour from 2:00-2:30, with more time if we get a group of people. I will post something on the chat webpage with list of times world wide.

I may not be able to do every Sunday, but atleast it will give our european friends a chance to chat with us!

Posted by: Aon_Daonna 09-Apr-2002, 05:04 PM
that'll be fine for me  :)
tho I can't speak for others.
we'll just have to discuss that, I think

good night all, it was a long day and tomorrow's a school day  :(

:) Great I try to be here 2pm est On Sunday to chat internationally.

Posted by: scottish2 10-Apr-2002, 07:45 AM
2 works for me being on EST. And unless something comes up I should be able to make it majority of the Sundays.  :D

Posted by: Mel 10-Apr-2002, 09:27 AM
I'll try to be there as often as I can! :)

Posted by: aklassie 10-Apr-2002, 10:32 PM
:D  Sounds good to me.  I'll try to make it as often as I can.  It would be 10:00am Alaska time.  But that's ok.  Not doing much at that time of the morning.

Posted by: kylassie 11-Apr-2002, 06:11 AM
Thats 1:00 pm Central Daylight Savings Time  :D  - I think I just like the idea of having more than one option to chat with everyone! BTW, Paul is there any way we can turn off or otherwise deactivate our friend "CelticDJ" when we chat? I mean he is a nice enough guy, but he never stays on topic, and he interrupts without exception just when the chat is really getting good!  (cry)

(coffee)  I am having my morning coffee, so I will return to the board once I am "woke up!"

Posted by: scottish2 11-Apr-2002, 07:11 AM
Hi KY

Have mentioned this to Paul and he's working on a solution either to turn him off perminently or to allow a moderator of sorts to allow him to be turned off when the folks want him turned off. So I think this is something he's working on.

Sounds great to me! I'm really looking forward to see you all on sunday (saturday for you, methinks). :D

What is 2 at EST in GMT+1 ???? hmmmm... I have to look that up, I think  :)

We also have the 9:30PM EST on Saturday chat time as well maybe this would work for you?

2 chat times currently scheduled are
Saturday at 9:30PM EST or 2:30AM GMT

or

Sunday 2:00PM EST or 8PM GMT

let us know how this works for you and if we need can always add an additional time for you.

Posted by: Aon_Daonna 12-Apr-2002, 11:08 AM
8 GMT sounds ok for me, I'll definetly be home then just to get to know you all a bit better :)
Perhaps earlier would be ok, too. I don't want someone to be left behind.

I think I can also make it this saturday night, cos I have to stay awake anyway.

Perhaps we can consider the 2nd chat time is something provisional until we found a time that would suit to all. :)

If I was in the GMT zone I would stay up for chat. but since I am in the MET (Middle European Time) it's still 1hr +.
And I'm quite tired, had a hard day.
Perhaps I can see some of you tomorrow at 2pm in EST, 9pm for MET.
I'm sorry, but I'm just too tired. :zz

have fun

Posted by: scottish2 13-Apr-2002, 06:51 PM

Well, as you know I made it :)
Tho I slept in today due to a lack of sleep... :D
it's not good for me to stay up until 6am, go to bed for 4 hrs and on the next day to phone my boyfriend in the middle of the night... ;)

and it's late again... I really should go to bed.
Nite Nite.. (moon)

I think the Saturday 930pm est time may work for me. That would require me getting my lazy vacationing tail out of bed on Sunday at 1130am!
wish me luck :)
