I'm curious to hear experiences of any members who have had DNA testing performed. There are a number of testing sites here in the States, so I wanted to hear about the pros and cons of testing.

We saw their concert at Tampa Performing Arts Center in February. I am in awe of the talent of these fine musicians. Brings me too tears. They were also here a couple of weeks ago, but the tickets sold out very fast. Hopefully they will make a yearly stop in in west central Florida. Now if the Chieftains would just come by, I'd be most happy!!

Hello all. I just found Highlander Radio yesterday on Shoutcast, and have been listening since. Awesome sound, considering the streaming!!
Name is Jon Maguire. Age 57, married, daughter and son, and looking to find the family roots. I'm certain they originate on those magical Isles. I was born in Massachussetts (4th generation Red Sox fan... I can die and go to heaven now  )
I know my Great Grandfather James Maguire (US Civil War veteran) was born in Boston around 1840. Before that is the mystery I must solve. My Mother's family originated in Isles, but lived in Newfoundland for a generation or 2 until the 1920s
I love all forms of Celtic music!! I just can't take the headsets off!!

Hello Mark. I am also a newcomer to the community. I'm curious as to where in Newfoundland you are from? My mother was born, and her family is from Catalina. Small world. 108 minutes around at 17,000MPH!!
