I signed up last Friday for getting today off since its my birthday. I didn't expect to get it but when I showed up at work at 6:55am someone had already signed in to do my route! So now I'm happily at home with the dog licking my leg while I type.

Trying to locate my son. Found a somewhat sketchy note on the table when I returned from work.
"Mom, I went to a friends house and then I will go play Basketball. Love, your son."

Uhm, which friends house, how long will he be there and how long will playing Basketball take? Will he back for Dinner? Is he thinking of moving out? Do I get to see him again before he moves out? What if he moves out, becomes a Basketball star and forgets all about his poor mom?

Okay, okay. My son is 14 and I did tell him to enjoy his last days of freedom before school starts. So why worry?!

Hope they feed him at his friends house! Hold on, I think I just heard the phone ringing....
