QUOTE (single speed @ 09-Aug-2004, 09:31 PM) |
December 30, 2000. I was returning to Phoenix after spending the holidays in San Antonio. After checking into my Hotel in Las Crusces, NM, I went out for a bite to eat. I approached a four way intersection, and signaled a right turn. As I began to turn, WHAM! I was rear-ended by a F-250 with a brush guard. My car was totaled, the truck sustained minor paint damage on the brush guard.
Due to the force of the impact, and the codition of my car, I was rushed to the ER for Xrays on my neck and spine. (My bell got rung). I spent 2 hours on a backboard, awaiting Xrays. Another another accident that came in at the same time,m and took precidence. I was released a few hours later, no damage, but my head was still ringing.
The good news? The car was a 1996 Mazda Millenia that had 98,000 miles on it. I had the car for sale for 4 months, asking $8,500. When the insurance was settled, I received a check for $15,000. Maybe this was'nt such a bad vacation after all..... |
hehe all was not lost... |

QUOTE (peckery @ Mar 19 2004, 10:29 AM) | Mega Super Tsunami. It would have to be 1000 feet tall and traveling 600 mph to reach Indianapolis. There are only two or three things that could cause a wave of that size. OK class, what would those things be????? |
A gigantic meteor falling into the atlantic would be one. The second possibility would be if my mother-in-law did a cannonball And the third possibility would be if Tim The Tool Man taylor built a wave machine for the surfers |
