Snakes. They give me the creeps, the willies, the chills and the heebie jeebies.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Water that I can't see through -- streams, ponds, lakes, rivers, oceans -- there's no telling how deep it is, or what's down there!

'Hope guides me. It is what gets me through the day, and especially the night.' -- A Knight's Tale "I talk to you as I talk to my own soul...and, Sassenach,” he whispered, “your face is my heart.” -- Jamie Fraser, "Dragonfly In Amber" by Diana Gabaldon @Dremnghrt on Twitter, Dreamnghrt on tumblr - come say Hi!
I'm also a world class scaredy cat when it comes to thunder and lightning. I do not like thunderstorms at all .
Ooooooh... that's a shame. I hope you change your mind someday. I adore them! I remember that passage by Elizabeth Thomas in one of her books -- out on the African veldt, she heard a deafening roll of thunder straight overhead, then the boss male of the local pride of lions answered it, like he heard God asking "Where's my lion?" and said "Here am I." I think I would have died of primal awe on the spot.
I am afraid, or at least very wary, of clumps of adolescent males hanging out with nothing to do but impress each other how bad-assed they are.
Here's another...that at the end of a long and fruitful life full of adventure and friendship; I'll forget it all and be struck with Alzheimer's. My grandfather suffered horribly from it, the way it stripped him down...It's a sad sight indeed.
One of my fears is saying something stupid. That is why I don't talk or post very much. The other is being alone.

"We all get heavier as we get older because there's a lot more information in our heads." So I'm not fat, I'm just really intelligent and my head couldn't hold anymore so it started filling up the rest of me! "Mama Tater"
Being physically helpless and unable to speak, but completely lucid mentally.
(Good for you, Maddie, by the way. )
OMG, you are absolutely on with that one! My mother died from ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease). That is exactly how you go!
I 've thought about this one for a while: my fear is I will be found out as a fraud! That is, people will discover that I have been faking my way through life, all of this time.
Goodness! I have a lot of fears. I am terrified of snakes, scorpions and heights! Spiders don't bother me at all though.
My biggest fear is that I will get some disease where I am incapcitated and family or friends might have to take care of me. I would never wish that on anyone. I also fear losing my husband to death. My dad died at a very early age and I saw how devasting it was to my mother and us kids.
OK- Must be Halloween..ha.. I just came face to face with my biggest fear.. I was putting the cover back on the drain in the laundry room and out ran a huge spider....or as we say damhan allaidh--- eeewwww
