[QUOTE]No, Maggie! I have not seen Troy. Is that the movie with Brad Pitt? I am not a Brad Pitt fan. However, I think there is another actor in there that I do love and that is the guy who played Boromir in LOTR.......I forget his name.

Orlando Bloom played Prince Hector's Brother in Troy. I watched that, and it wasn't too bad. I'm not a Brad Pitt fan either. However, he wasn't too bad in this movie.

I'm disgusting, I cried when Achilles (Pitt) killed Prince Hector. crybaby.gif

That was a good part of the movie. Very emotional because Eric Bana was sooooo good as Hector and he just made the movie. I personally think it all went downhill after that. All in all it was good though.

Wow, we all agree that Eric Bana was the hottest gorgeous hunk a hunk, better looking than Brad Pitt guy on Troy. There was another guy that played a good friend of Achilles with the most beautiful eyes. I can't remember who he played as, but I remember those eyes! wink.gif

Rosie, you need to go rent Troy and then give us your opinion. Have the tissues close by, you'll be needing them.

Don't feel bad girls, I cried when Achilles killed Hector.

Oh, so did I (cry, that is, much to my husbands disgust, lol), Eric looked MUCH better in Troy than he did in The Hulk.

Have to say, though, I did like that Achilles went back to get what's her name.

Lol, I read one review where it said that Achilles not only fell in love with her, he married her....I didn't see that or get that impression....after all, if he had married her, would he have sent her back with the king?

Australian Eric Bana was also Bruce Banner in "The Hulk".

He also had a bit part in "Black Hawk Down".

Those are the only other two I know of that he's done Stateside.

Maggie is Troy considered a "chick flick?" Cause hubby won't watch it with me if it is. But if it isn't than I can get him to watch it too. I guess I had better see this movie and see what you all are talking about and drool over Sean Bean while I am at it. dribble.gif dribble.gif Plus, I gotta see this guy, Eric Bana.

Rose.....TROY is not a chick flick as far as I'm concerned. At least not the story line. However, Eric Bana, who played Hector is definitely gorgeous. I cried when he was killed too. I am not a Brad Pitt fan either, but he was good in this movie. So was Orlando Bloom, tho I liked him better in LOTR. Mmmmm......With all the gorgeous men in this movie maybe it is a chick flick!!!! However, my husband, son and son in law all liked the movie so I think your hubby would too. smile.gif

Thanks,Lil, for the picture. All I can say is
WOW!! biggrin.gif

I saw The Phantom of the Opera recently, and WOW!!! It was amazing! I'm not usually a big fan of musicals, but this one wasn't over the top at all. Minnie Driver was hilarious as Carlotta. And we've discussed that gorgeous Scot who plays the Phantom... Yowza! Gerard Butler may be the tastiest thing to come from Scotland in a very long time!

A bunch of the people on my floor went to see The Boogeyman last night, I don't recomend this movie at all. It had enough things the jumped out at you that you jumped in your seat but there was nothing to scream (eek.gif) at and the end was sooo incredibly stupid. There was minor battle, if you can even call it that and then it ended. It was so very dissapointing. thumbdown.gif thumbdown.gif
