There's no etiquette per se. It's pretty easy to figure out what you're trying to convey with them.

Normal is a relative term. For some reason it is not a term my relatives use to describe me.

I can't find where Hubby stored all of the picture files? They are not under my Pictures? So I'll have to ask him and then I'll get him to show me. He's the computer person, not me.

Thanks Corrigan! I'll keep trying!

Look what one of the things that the soldiers have to deal with in Iraq.

Camel Spiders

Camel spiders are one of the fastest running arthropods. Although they have four pairs of legs, they run using only three pairs. The first pair of legs or pedipalpi are held up in front of them and used in a similar manner to the antennae of insects. They have very long, silky setae and are constantly moving in order to locate and pick-up prey. Despite their fearsome appearance and their strong bite, solifugids are unlikely to harm humans. In the past they were considered venomous and extremely dangerous but it is now thought that the only risk of injury resulting from them is caused by shock or infection following a bite. There is no evidence of venom in any part of their body.

Camel spiders are nocturnal predators of other arthropods including scorpions and are voracious feeders. Some species kill and feed on lizards and it is speculated that others kill mice and birds. They rely solely on their speed and stealth to catch their prey. In desert areas they are often attracted to lights at night in search of food and their appearance can cause alarm if they enter tents. It is rare to see them during the winter months and they are thought to hide or hibernate during cold periods.

Corrigan,
Your son is in my thoughts. My brother has been in Iraq since March 27th. It's very scary. When he calls home, you can hear gun fire and explosions. I wish for all of the soldiers to come home safe and soon.

Prayers and support to everyone who has folks overseas. They have been added to my prayer list (with my buds who are over there, as well.) Shrule, that Whiskey Cobra to the right of your cousin in the photo is one tough bird. I have freinds in MAG-49 who fly them. Oh, and thanks for the spider pic...I may never sleep again...

Ryan was on IM last night with his mother. He told her that he hasn't had a shower in a few weeks and they are rationing water. Our government had a contract with one of the locals to supply water to our troops at the camp. The militants have threatened him if he trucks in any more water and he has taken that threat seriously.

Ryan also said, the mail and most of the food supplies have not been coming and our troops in camp are getting low. He hadn't heard the reasoning for that yet.

As I get word, I'll pass it on to all.

Dear God it's getting worst over there. They can't live without water, food and mail. How long can this continue! Very upsetting! Calling my congressman tomorrow.

Nick is now in Afghanistan. I was so relieved to hear it with all the fighting in Iraq right now. He is tired, but he says it's better than Camp New York. There is a phone for every 10 soldiers instead of every 50. My prayers go to Ryan. I will pass this on to Nick next time he calls.

Thanks for the Camel Spider pic! The universal reaction is Oh-My-God!

I want them all to come, but especially my Nick.

Here's the latest picture of Ryan. He just finished repairing one of the helicoptors.

Nick and Ryan are in my prayers. As are all the other sons and daughters over there. I have a nephew there also. My hubby was in desert storm and I remember what it was like having him there. It would be even worse for me if it was one of my sons. God Bless them all and may He bring them all home safe-soon.

Corrigan, We will add Nick to our prayers as well. I have both a daughter in the Marines and a son in the Army (Infantry).
