I'm having the most difficult time figuring out where to put the member bar on our front page! The member bar has been just about everywhere on the mainpage; middle, top; bottom, etc.
After consulting with a number of people, including my wife; it seems the concensus is right below the logo. Can you all have a look and let me know what you think?
With the introduction of the member bar we are making the forum our main 'listener' database. For example, in a few days requests are only going to be possible if you have an account. Also, for those that use the forum's private mail to stay in touch with other members; pop-up mail messages now occur on our main site so you will know right away, upon loading up celticradio.net, whether you have new mail.
Great! This is good to know. It was really getting nuts, sometimes I have the hardest time with the simpliest things. I sorta feel like pigglet in the 100 arce woods?.well, maybe not ? perhaps I have been watching to much disney channel with my daugher!
No Paul it's called your site if you're anything like me you can point out all the problems on everyone elses website but when it comes to your own your like doohhhh. I know I have that problem with my sites. Always are workable but not always placed right LOL
May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer "am I worth dying for?" - Eleanor Roosevelt
The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools. -- Herbert Spencer, English Philosopher (1820-1903)
Do you see the banner at the top of the page? Well right beneath this is a bar that has your ID plus your controls for profile and PM's and such well Paul added this to the main page of the site so when you come to the site you can get your info right away and know if you have messages and such you should check. Makes it easy to keep up to date fast!!!
I think that the Member Bar is just around the corner from Ye Olde Celtic Pub. Now I giggling when I think of other ideas for a "member bar". People in the office are looking at me funny. Thanks, Paul!
