This is one where I was playing around with a "posterization" effect. The subjects are my wife's cousin's girlfriend and one of my cats.

Posterization was originally a technique developed in the seventies in which an image was manipulated to give it a "psychodelic poster" type look. It involved some advanced darkroom "hocus pocus", such as sandwiching a positive and negitive image slightly off register and printing an image from that. Many other "tricks of the trade" were employed to create different effects. As I'm moving to the digital world, I was experimenting with different "stuff" to try and duplicate the effect. It's mostly out of favor now, but I was just "playing around".
