I had an E-mail address that supposedly died when my High Speed provider sold to another company. I had fits as I would receive notifications that my mail box was full and it would contain only 150 to 200 visible communications. They would, I think, delete some of the mail to the old address and it would work for a while. Eventually after a lot of tech time we found that when the old address contained enough mail combined with the new address I was shut down. I had no means to see or delete the mail sent to the old address or to delete the address myself and the provider eventually had to delete the address from their system. That may be your best course of action. I would insist that it be done at their expense. It seems that now most companies will go to great lengths to keep your business.
Good luck
