"Clanadonia are a Tribal Pipes and Drums band, steeped in the Pictish/Celtic traditions of Scotland." Their debut CD - Clanadonia is as breathtaking and exhilarating as the Pipes and Drums of Scotland. Only this is Tribal Pipes and Drums and there is a clear difference between this music and traditional Pipe and Drum music. The beat is sometimes fast and addicting - you just might find yourself playing a little air drums and moving to the tempo such as "The Wild Dance" or "Tu-Bardh." Other times the sweeping beauty of Scotland can be heard in the stunning and awe-inspiring track "Tyler's Lament." If you love the enchanting sound of the Pipes, the infectious majesty of tribal Drums and an all around wonderful group of musicians from Scotland, then you are sure to love Clanadonia and their debut album that is sweeping across Scotland and Europe. Celtic Radio is honored and proud to play the music of Clanadonia on our broadcast and we would highly recommend this CD to all of our listeners and members. 5 Golden Celtic Radio Stars to the boys that are "Keeping it Tribal" with some of the best Celtic music we have heard all year!

Clanadonia are one of the best Scottish Tribal bands around. Got to say they put on a fantastic performance. They just finished up performing at The Gathering. Their music will never leave you once you hear them. I have their cd and the songs are amazing. A couple of my favorites are Spanish Eyes and The Cossack.

Please check them out on celticvideo or on their myspace or the bands website at clanadonia.co.uk. and there's so much to see on youtube as well. You've got to see it for yourself.

Have they any affliation with Cla an Drumma? I haven't check them out yet but the keeping it tribal thing has got me wondering. I'll look as soon as i can. Sounds like it just what I've been looking for.

Hi Robert Phoenix good eye! Yes, some of them were members of
Clann An Drumma at one time. Tu-Bardh Wilson was one of the
orginal members, Robbie MacFarlane, Wayne Broon & Wayne,
Manning followed shortly.

The new additions to the band include Piper, Brad McMillan, Jamie
Cook, drums, Percussion and Ali Smith-Bagpipes, Drums and
Percussion.

I also want to say Clanadonia and Clann An Drumma including Joe
Mackenzie and Brian Cartwright at the time performed the sound
track for the movie by Lee Hutcheon "The Clan".

The Clan has James Cosmo out of The movie Braveheart in it. I
have seen this movie and it's very intense. I didn't move off my chair.
The sound track was excellent. You can find the movie trailer on
their website.

I hope you will check them out. Very talented people. Many of them have
been in several movies as well as Braveheart and The Clan,
New World, King Arthur to name a few.

I hope this answered your question.
