Depends on what you're willing to spend.

As a rule, I avoid all of Sony's portable CD players, but that's because I'm cursed when it comes to them. Every one I have had has not lasted longer than six months.

I'd recommend the Panasonic SL-SX430 I bought a couple of months ago, but it is no longer on the market.

Oh, I had always liked Sony's products. I had bought a portable JVC player once before and it didn't last me that long either. I will get on the net and do some comparison shopping and read the reviews on them. That is usually how I buy electronics now anyway. Thanks for your advice! wink.gif

The two best sites I've found for comparison shopping are Amazon & CNET.

Also, forget RCA. I bought one at Best Buy, and the next day I was back at Best Buy exchanging it for my Panasonic because the censored.gif player worked one censored.gif time furious.gif !

Thanks Mike! I haven't had time to do my research yet, but will on those sites. I usually refer to Amazon as well.

I am listening to the QVC shopping channel that is holding their annual St. Patrick's Day sale! I have already bought one thing! rolleyes.gif

Right now... all my adult kids are either asleep or out, my 12 year old is spending the nite elsewhere, the animals are sleeping and the only sound I hear is my wife's snoring...sounds like she is trying to start a chainsaw in her sleep... so I guess I am hearing the blessed sounds of silence!!!! ALMOST!
