Ok i was told i need 20 guard towers, i have 11.. isnt that enough? thanks |

Guard towers provide a area for your archers to attack from and not be out in the open. So I'd have to say, the more towers and archers you can build, the better your defenses would be. After all its just a matter of time before someone can build a big enough army to overcome any obstacles. |

Now that's some good info.... |

Yes it is... Well i wont say whom, but someone told me 20 would be good lol But i think some of the big shots here..grins... are sending single men troop to the kingdoms in hopes you spend your gold.. so always use a spy, it really works well, and then you know what is coming at ya.. |

Go into "Buildings" the same place you build gold mines, lumber camps and farms. |

hydroshok40, It all comes down to finish all of your "research" and "construction" in technology. Once this is all completed you'll find more options in the "training" and "buildings" section, if for some reason in the "buildings" section you do not see the "guard towers" it is because you did not complete your construction and research. Technology - Construction - Research - Training - Buildings Another suggestion if I may is to contact your chieftain as well for him to help you build up and give you advice...this is the good side of being part of a clan. Hydroshok40, LOA is right on this one. If I remember correctly you have to build an archery range and a military academy to get the guard tower option to come up. Check out the research goals page in our clan forum for more info. |

Thanks all for the advice.. McRoach, i'll contact you in the clan forum for more info. I'm slowly getting the hang of all of this....lol. |

Oh heck........how do I get a general ?????? Is it supposed to be a computer generated character or ???????? I'm finally at a stage that I can build towers and a decent army and I just realized I have NO generals yet! YIS, Lord Seamus |

Pick a name you like and "change generals" in the army movements screen. Just remember that once you start getting a defense/offense bonus that changing names will cause you to lose those bonuses. |

But you can have differant Generals for each of your armies, so hopfully, being able to choos 4 diferant ones, you wont have to keep changing them and lose the bonus. HYDRO |

Did not know that we had generals and that we could name them. Do you get bonuses from attacking and/or defending? |
Posted by: TheCarolinaScotsman 24-Feb-2009, 10:05 AM |
The victorious general (computer decides who wins) is awarded bonus points. Whether offensive or defensive depends on which one was the victor. If you change a general's name, he loses all bonus points he may have accumulated. |

Not necessarily correct, I've seen a few cases where both the attacking and defending generals gained bonuses. I think it's more of a case where they get better just by leading a battle. |

Is it possible for a general to die? Like when a whole army get obliterated, or will the game not allow that? |
Posted by: MacDonnchaidh 29-Mar-2009, 08:05 AM |
When your army is annihilated your general loses all his bonuses. |
Posted by: Lady-of-Avalon 29-Mar-2009, 08:06 AM | ||
Lord englishmix, No, your generals don't die even if your whole army gets obliterated. The only thing that one player can do is change the name of his generals but by doing so one loses his defense bonuses completely. So one must think twice before doing that especially for a lone player. I hope that it helps you a little bit. Lady of Avalon |

Thanks Lady Avalon for the answer. Much appreciated. For that charity, I will send my generals to attack you later, rather than sooner! |
