Yes, perhaps this should be posted in the appropriate music section, but I want to say that not only are Distant Oaks a wonderful band with the even more wonderful voice of Deborah White, but in an email from her I learned that the family count themselves as Christians!

I guess this explains to me the attraction I've had to their music and the spiritual quality it has.

For those who wish to check it out, their website is one of the best I've seen.

but you all probably know this already sad.gif

Hi Graham!

You have great taste in music, my friend! smile.gif Deborah has been a friend of mine for years! She has a Scottish Gaelic group and has been coaching me in my Gaelic studies and answering my questions for a long time! I introduced her to CR and was so happy when she decided to send some music for Paul to play! Next time you talk to her tell her WizardofOwls says hi and see what she says! wink.gif

God bless you and yours, my friend!

Wow what a small world!

I know envy is sin, but my word I am envious, I wish I had such a friend and teacher of gaelic!

How about you both move to Tasmania?

I'm also impressed with Jared's website work and hope to have him rebuild my website with a strong celtic flavour.

Thanks Tassiecelt!
I will definately check them out. The only celtic Christian bands I know of are Edens Bridge and Ceilih Rain, but I don't really care for the latter that much.

Just an update, I've received the first of three CD's ordered and I absolutely love their music.
I'm so grateful to HR for making me aware of this beautiful, talented and very spiritual group.

I highly recommend them to those who love to see celtic and Christian combined in music.
