My Lords of all Clans, If I could have a minute of your time
The game is made to play correct, and in the game it is to train troops and Buildings to build resources. Now if we all do that and nothing else pleassse what fun is that. The many Great Clans in Medieval times did not just set around all day and count their gold, they wanted more they wanted make themselves bigger, what did they do they called the armies together and attacked.
There was a time when you all complained about McInnes Clan attacking you because you are of a peaceful Clan, now it is Clan Gordon's turn why because we get bored with just training, and building, honestly don't you get bored.
You all are good Clans but," Take someone's cookie and play the game."

Well, as I said earlier, war is part of the game. However, some of the things that have been said have nothing to do with war, and more to do with the possibility of some taking an unfair advantage.
War in this game I do not have a problem with. It might destroy me and my clan, but it's part of the game. The possibility of people with multiple accounts is another issue, one which is easily resolved by Paul, and one which I have no patience for IF it's taking place.
Now, I've said this to others: it has not been proved to anyone that multiple accounts for the purpose of resource generation is taking place. That is something Paul will have to look into if he chooses to. That being said, I hope if people ARE using multiple accounts, something that is clearly against the spirit of the game, I hope Paul will take appropriate punitive action.
Oh my all this controversy over such a simple question from some one looking for a little more info about which clan to join.
Lord SonofHenderson, I recommend you heed the good advise of those not fostering ill feelings or boasts of war and decide what you want to do while playing this game. Do you want a huge score and loyalty to a clan that will send you off to battle until you are too large to fight anyone, or do you want to just make new friends and figure things out as you go? Near as I can tell there is only one direction to go from when you start and that is up. Some are slow to move up the ranking others do it real fast. Keep in mind that as you get higher up the ladder you'll be be unable to attack fewer and fewer players but the more attacks you can receive.
As for the multiple accounts accusation which I have no proof of one way or the other. I can see why some players might want more than one account. We have watched other players become so large that it was boring just to watch everyone else fight, so why not start a new account and work your way up again? The flip side would be if you are using your second account to attack players you couldn't reach while transferring HUGE sums of resource from your first account to the new one in order to build your armies so quick that no one would be prepared to defend themselves.
I like that we keep reminding each other that this is a game of war, if you want to sit around and build stuff with out ever getting attacked or fighting, play Sim City or something. This is also an extension of Celtic Radio and this forum is as much a part of playing as the battles are. If people want to complain a bit or throw verbal mud at each other, are they not still technically playing? Just a thought for those who are tired of reading the posts but so quick to respond to them.
As for you my lord Dogshirt, what's left of my clan is the integrity that has always been there. We will fight our battles and defend our kingdoms against all who wish to rise up against us. We shall arise from any ash and ruin that war scars us with. I must admit that MacInn did had the formality of declaring war rather than just striking all at once but I suppose not all snakes in the grass have rattles.

Grateful am I to have a sword in which to defend myself at all times, blessed am I for the days I need not use it.
Early on, when I was still fairly new to the game, I was wiped out more than once. I swore to myself that I would put myself in a position where that could never happen again. I had made the typical mistakes by then, but then decided that a kingdom's economy was the basis for strength. Accordingly, I started working on building assets that would create resources. I did not register a ghost player, but put all my attention toward strengthening my player status. It took patience and time, but eventually, I was in position to move up in the ranks quickly. The chief of my clan (at that time Clan MacInnes) requested that I keep my score low, so I had to dump 80,000 points. Once MacInnes disbanded, I was free to become the dominant player in the game with a score well beyond any one else. I am still building. My goal is to be so powerful that I could challenge King Arthur. (In the beginning, Paul was going to create an over lord king, King Arthur that could grant requests and give resources to worthy supplicants. Paul mentioned that he might be challenged by one powerful enough to do so.) My goal is still total domination. But I do it without help and as a lone wolf.
How is someone new to the game to know which way to go....which clan to join ....and who to seek for advice on how to get started??? I would think one of the objects of this game is to have battles with other players but some think not... I would like to build a large strong kingdom but am unable to trust anyone as yet, maybe after playing awhile I'll know which clan to trust...
I post this here ONLY because it happens here in the Medieval Forums. While reading these forums, unless I keep my cursor ON the pages of the forum, I get an error warning, some garbage about Java Script error, or something like that. If I let the cursor stray to the frames, the background or anywhere EXCEPT the actual texts of the forums this happens. Not all the time, but enough to be annoying. Has anyone else had this happen?

Well, knowing who to trust is really the trick isn't it? And how would that have been different in real life. Such is politics, medieval or otherwise.
The objects of the game are what you make of them, my Lord. If you would prefer to build up a massive, peaceful kingdom, then so be it. If you would prefer to make war, as Clan Gordon is doing, that is part of the game as well.
As for which CLAN to trust, I'd say go with your gut. Decide whether you want to augment an already large clan like DARK, Bruce, or Gordon. Or go with a smaller clan, like North, or Mac Na Galla. Read the clan pages and see which one has the attitude you like. Read the posts and see whose posts make the most sense to you.
And remember, once you join a clan, you can ALWAYS leave it.
