I recently visited the town of Stirling whilst I was visiting my family in Scotland.
I went into Stirling Castle which is magnificent. I also went to the William Wallace (Braveheart) monument which has William Wallace on the side. There is a sculpture at the bottom of the monument which we had a chuckle laugh.gif at.
It looks old but when you look at the face it look familiarly like Mel Gibson.
On reading the plaque it was sculptured after the sculpturer watched Braveheart so we think that it was sculptured on Mel rather than William Wallace.
You can see Bannockburn on a clear day from the top of the William Wallace monument and also drive there. They also have the Sword of William Wallace and a lot of other tributes to this great man.
I only spent one day in Stirling and wished I had more time to spend there.
It is a very historical town and I will go back and visit it again
If you get the chance to visit Scotland make sure you get to Stirling. It truly is a very historical town to see.

Hello Dundee
What a coincidence. I bought my good friend back a keyring also of Stirling Castle.
Yes, I am American now. Originally of English,Scottish and Irish heritage. (A bit of a Heinz 67 variety).
As to the colour of my hair - well that remains a closely guarded secret????

A big ol' Hi to you Londonlas, sounds like you had a wonderful time at Sterling! Must have had gads of fun and it must have been thrilling to see the monument of William Wallace.

Watch out for dundee, he does have a thing or two for the redheads! wink.gif and the blondes and the brunettes and the women with raven hair.
Just pickin' dundee! angel_not.gif
