I had to fill up this morning and it was $3.75. $40.00 for my little Altima. I just love it when the news says that oil has gone up $.20 a barrel and we see a jump of $.20 a gallon in a two-week period. Yeah - like that really computes.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

My first car was a 1954 Buick Roadmaster hard top. Were it not for gas wars, I could not have driven it. I remember buying regular gas in 1958 for twelve cents a gallon. Usually it was thirteen to fifteen cents a gallon. I haven't checked todays price yet.
We hit $4.00 a gallon today! Many years ago I lived in South West Colorado. The natural gas wells on the mesa had tanks that collected the "drip gas". You could tell who was stealing the gas because their auto exhaust smelled bad and it sounded like they had a can of marbles under the hood. I would bet that LaPlata Gas has to guard the tanks now.
