When we hit 3000 then we will have equaled the loss during the 1929 crash and its aftermath. As far as I can tell the Dems and the "One" really don't care (and they apparently believe this is furthering their political goals and plans for our country).

That 5,000 was yet this year and for what it is worth, the dow futures are still dropping since the market close. We could be over half way to 5,000 on tomorrow's open.

I do believe you are right, in crisis there is opportunity for the party in power! I just heard obama's popularity dropped!!

The total loss is now 10.5 trillion in market decline.
