Hi All (said in my best Dr Evil voice) Some of you I know and some of you I am meeting for the first time I have been through a plethora of changes over the last year with the break up of my band and a 25 year relationship, plus suddenly becoming the parent of a 16 year old just to name a few things......let's see that about brings it up to date oh yeah I am riding bicycles for Juvinile Diabetes Research now and have logged over 5000 miles since March. My life hasn't slowed down that much but a message from Rindy on MS reminded me that I should at least check in from time to time so that I can keep in touch with old friends who are not on MySpace Hey Friends both old and new, good to see you again and nice to meet you! Slainte Michael |

It's good hearing from you again Raven! I'm sorry to hear of your losses, but will be praying for you to continue to fight the good fight. I am certain that you wouldn't have the 16 year-old unless you were the best choice to, and with your work for JDR, you're a good roll model! Hang tight! |

Welcome back Michael. I think what your doing for Diabetes Research is fantastic. 5000 miles is a lot! I am looking forward to you being back here once again. Slainte |

MIchael - welcome back. I'm not sure if I have "met" you or not, I have only been part of this "family" for about 4 months. Prayers are with you. Thanks for what you are doing with the Juvenile Diabetes group. My baby sister who is 30 has diabetes - and I know she will thank you too! |
Posted by: Raven 07-Nov-2007, 02:44 PM |
Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone Prayers and well wishing are all appreciated tremendously! I have a vested interest in the diabetes cure research as I have been type 1 insulin dependant for over 34 years and am one of the lucky ones who is still alive with all original body parts The medicine has come a long way since I was first diagnosed as a wee lad of 13 and there will likely be a cure in your sister's life time Gwynhwyvar! Another thing I do with diabetes is support to help diabetics who are having control issues. That is very rewarding on an immediate gratification level Well they want me to do some work while they are paying me so TTFN and I will see you all soon! Michael |

It's so good to see you, dear old friend! Life is a rollercoaster and we have to deal with all the ups and downs. I'm quite sure you're doing a great job there. It's been a while since we talked last time but I have been remembering you often by sending positive thoughts your way. You have been busy and becoming parent of a 16 yrs. old sounds quite exiting, so I think boredom is the least thing to deal with for you. Great job! Stay safe and may you walk in peace, Michael! Talk soon. |

You never did let us know if "An Turas" won any awards, after it was nominated. |

Welcome back Michael. Looking forward to your future posts. And I have a nephew who is diabetic since 3 years like you he's a type 1 insulin dependant. His dad is involved in volunteer work for support to the Juvenile Diabetic Association here in Montreal. Thanks for sharing Michael. LOA |

Well as you know Mike, I was kind of in that funk for some time and pretty much quit caring about the music. So sorry for my oversite on "An Turas" both "An Turas" and "On the Moor" were finalists in the JPF International songwriting awards program. "An Turas" ended up at number 3 in Celtic Instrumental "On the Moor" finished at number 8 in Celtic there were somewhere arround 10,000 songs entered between the 2 catagories. In addition "Lullabies" got honorable mention in the 2007 Billboard song contest which means that it was in the final 100. BTW we do need to catch up and that is all my fault my Shrule Egan friend Michael |

Dig out your paint brushes and rollers and get ready to head to N.C. in the next few months. We will need to paint the house. We break ground soon!!! By the way, we changed the design of the house. The first design cut down on the useable square footage and we need to get the biggest house we can, for the money. Oh yea, you need to get a motorcycle now. We found the N.C. version of The Dragons Tail and it begins about 6 miles from the house and goes for about 22 miles. Fun road and great scenery!!! |

Welcome back Raven! So nice of you to stop by and let us all know how your doing. That is a great thing you are doing for kids with juvenile diabetes. |

Welcome Back Raven! I'm also bad about being in and out of here. I'm glad you're doing well. Hey Egan...you'll owe me a ride on that scenic route after we're done with all that painting. Just make sure the fridge works and is stocked before Hubby and I show up! |

Hey buddy! So good to see you back! My life has been a rollercoaster ride lately too, but it really does get better. See ya around the boards! |

Your on, Shelly!! I'm pumped up to take the Harley on those roads myself. We just need to get Raven to buy a bike. Peckery can bring his Harley down and Annabelle will have her Harley there. Then we can all go out for a cruise through the mountains. Painting can wait, if everyone has a bike or seat to sit on Now, you need to work on George to get his license and a bike. Don't ever worry about the beer fridge being empty. That will never happen. |
Posted by: Raven 28-Nov-2007, 02:14 PM
Hey Shrule a couple of things #1 Peckary owns the same kind of bike that I do (sans motor) #2 I have 5 bikes #3 he is a much bettter painter than I so I should just serve the beverages (grin) Michael |
Posted by: A Shrule Egan 28-Nov-2007, 06:15 PM
Peckery sold his Harley!!!???? Is that legal? We know he is a better painter. He claims to be better at a lot of things. Just humor him. OK, sell 4 of the bikes and maybe you can get a cheap motorcycle to ride but I'm not waiting for you at the top of the mountains, if you can't keep up. |
