I noticed that for all that are involved in the game, our names all starts by "Lord" would it be possible for us ladies that are in the game our first name address would be "Lady"? When one look in the main page to look let say in the Map section my name starts by "Lord Lady-of-Avalon". So, what I'm asking is that I think it should be better to have the name of say the Laird of the Clan being named as such and those of lower ranks in the clan being named as Lord and Ladies depending on their gender? If possible of course, just a suggestion here. LOA |

I think it'd also be a great thing if they were able to combine kingdoms say within clans, you have a lord or lady and then some of the lower classes in the clan become knights or something |

If we could get that it would be nice. I would totally setup a Taco bell stand in the village. I don't think the chalupa's would do to good, but I think the quesadillas would go over really well. There's no mess and even look kinda old world style. You could slowly introduce the other menu items like the Volcano taco so as to not spook the towns folk into thinking your a witch or warlock......it could work! |

Good point Lady-of-Avalon..when we first signed up it would have been nice to have had a choice about gender instead of all being Lord so and so. Kind of one sided and the Ladies get left out....007dust: keep a chalupa on the warmer for me when I swing through your kingdom :-) |

I have to take this opportunity to point out that the title "Lord" is not gender-specific. For example, Queen Elizabeth II is also "Lord of Mann". In various other instances, it has also been considered proper to refer to a ruler as "Lord of the Land" regardless of gender. In the UK, Australia and Ireland, the title "Lord Mayor" is used regardless of gender. Some usernames (*cough*Lady-of-Avalon*cough*) introduce a particular problem, as even if gender-specific titles were used, she would then be known as "Lady Lady-of-Avalon." I'm not saying gender-specific titles are a bad idea, just pointing out that "Lord" is not gender-specific. |

I understand your point of view subhuman but in my case I would not have entered the "lady" title name twice if I had the choice in choosing the title of lord of lady, I would have cut off the "Lady" part of my name. If it would've possible of course.... And why the *cough* prey tell??? LOA |

Has CR checked into this Lord and Lady question? I still would like to be known as Lady Harlot |

I see you are answering some of our questions,so I was hoping that you could fix this one for the ladies who play this great game. |

This type of request is not that hard. We will look into having a gender option in the preferences, or perhaps having it work off the CR main database. Will write back once this is completed. |

The only place I can locate this reference is on the clan map? Is that correct? We are about to build some mini-profile page on the website frontend for medieval kingdom, so we could do the same reference - King/Queen - or Lord/Lady. I see that subhuman has done the research and given us the historically accurate reference, however, if the Lordly Ladies wish to be referred to Lady then that is fine! |

Yes it's on the Clan page. I can't speak for the other ladies who play ,but I for one which to be addressed as Lady Hatlot. It just sounds better too me. Thank You again Lady Harlot |

Ok, this was a good suggestion. We had to pull all of the sex from the main Celtic Radio database and populate the game data with everyones gender. We then built new accounts so they will grab the members gender from the main Celtic Radio database. We identified the 2 areas that needed to be updated and made the changes. Now Ladies will be displayed as "Lady" and "Queen" when appropriate. The other items that will be changed, depending on gender, is Governor / Governess. The main welcome screen - King / Queen. We will also add under preferences the ability to update your gender which will effect both the Game database and the Celtic Radio database simultaneously. This comes at a great time because we will be doing some custom profile pages for each member and it will be good having this available now and gender displayed properly. |

Well done indeed ! IF you need research done on medieval stuff.....there are many in the SCA , even out in the eastern part of Mass that would probably be happy to oblige, and I know there are a number of SCAdians here as well ! YIS, Lord Seamus, CA marshall and siege MIT of the SCA |
