I had a flash of inspiration while I was hunting down one of my other poems, and this is what resulted
~Sing to Me~
Sing to me
Drown out the wind?s angry cries
The sound of the rain
Let me hear that voice once more
That can hold off the storm
With just its memory

Mind if I carry it a little further:
Sing to me
Help me to forget my woes
the anguish of the day
Help me live this day in peace
The peace that I remember
As just a memory
Just had to add a little to that

And further still ...
Sing to me
Reveal once more your presence
That sets ev'rything right
Let your sweet thunderous voice
Fill my mind, fill my soul
With a new memory

I just thought I'd mention here that I've got two additional poems (The Eagle and Falling) posted at:
www.fictionpress.com/~meryat
I would have posted them here, but I'd like the opportunity to take them down if I start feeling self-conscious.

I have to say, that was an impressive back-and-forth flow!
Great work!
