Hi, I've just been listening to a great new album from Peter who is the piper with Gaelic Storm. Lots of his own tunes and upbeat arrangements. He also plays piano and has some guitar and drums for accompaniment. The official release date is 1st June but I have some in stock at www.bagpipediscs.com

I wonder if he will wear the space suit from the cover of Rare Air's "Space Piper" CD

I run an online store specializing in piping recordings and while I don't have any Albannach in stock I do have The Wicked Tinkers who fall into that category and The Red Hot Chilli Pipers who combine pipes, drums, guitar and keyboards. Take a look at www.bagpipediscs.com and navigate to "Folk/Other with Scottish Pipes".
Cheers,

I've just signed up after finding this website. I've been involved in traditional and celtic music for over forty years, first in my native Britain and now in the Seattle area. I play a variety of instruments including Scottish, Northumbrian and uilleann pipes, concertina, whistle and flute. I perform at weddings and other family events as well as having a regular monthly gig in a local bar. As well as playing myself I listen to a lot of other (better ) musicians and run an specialist online music store where all the products feature a bagpipe of some sort somewhere in the mix! I look forward to widening what I listen even further through recommendations on this forum. Ian Lawther |
