What a great idea! I wouldn't have thought there was that much Celtic Christmas music out there. Looking forward to it! newyear.gif

Sounds great, Mac! I seem to be having a little trouble getting into the spirit of things this year, so maybe that will help!

We may deviate a little bit with some of our selections of Christmas music. No, we are not going to be playing Bing Crosby - don't worry - I wouldn't say this music is pure Celtic - but more traditional with a new age twist - and add in a few guitars. I think it will fit very nicely into the broadcast.

We do have our regular Celtic music from last year and about 5-6 new CDs received in 2004 from artists that have Christmas music.

And we will be playing a special Christmas Story and music (Its about 46 minutes long) Christmas eve. I think we will schedule 3 playings of it so everyone in the different time songs can hear it.

Your just going to have to wait to hear about this group! biggrin.gif

Thats great, I love Celtic Christmas music. My parents have a collection at home that I love to listen to when I'm there.

This sounds REALLY good. Thanks Mac. I want to increase my Celtic Christmas collection, so hopefully your rotation is full of good options (like it could be anything else) thumbs_up.gif

Are you going to start mixing Christmas music into the broadcast before then as well? Or at least make it available for requests?

I think this weekend we will start mixing in some Christmas music. People like the Christmas selections last year and we have some new ones too. Its not a huge collection, but I think you should all enjoy it.

And all tracks will be available for requests.

I think it might just be what people are looking for to get in that Christmas mood.

That would be so nice. I need to get into the spirit of things.

Sounds great, Mac! I was wondering when we would be doing the Christmas music here. Can't wait.
