As always, the Quinlan Road website is the best source for information. Loreena herself is probably the only one at Quinlan Road who could give you more information than is posted there, and due to her packed, packed, cramped, and packed some more schedule, getting in touch with her like that is nothing short of a miracle.
You're right! I have been checking her website frequently. That is how I knew what I did when I did about her new CD coming out September 2005 is because of her website. Great place to check her out and I bet she does stay pretty busy!
Long before "Mummer's Dance" was played on the airwaves, CFNY out of Toronto was Loreena McKennit. It was amazing to hear songs off of her first two cd's mixed in with all of the other great stuff CFNY played. It always made me wonder why Toronto had any other radio stations
Living near the border I have probably had better access to Canadian artists than most people. Now with the advent of internet radio, the whole world can explore the incredible wealth of Canadian music. Wow, I sound like a salesman
Expect to see me commenting on more artists, as I explore this amazing website.
Paul! I hope you see this but I wanted to say I absolutely love your avatar! I wear one of those around my neck! Mine came from Ireland from an Irish friend of mine.
HI all.... I too love Loreena McKinnot and Mike I have to concur, a couple of my favs are Bonny Portmore" and "Marrakesh Night Market". I experience her song in many different ways,...they quite often evoke some kind of memory or spirit me off to one of these far flung places she visits..
I'm thrilled to hear she is working on a new album...
Does anybody know an album from Loreena entitled " The mask and the mirror" ? Could you tell me more about it before I decide to buy it ? Thanks for your opinion.
