Hello,I am just starting out learning Gaelic and I need help. I have been looking for 3 words and found all sorts of solutions
I need Seek (As in seeking for knowledge/research/study), Learn (being a student/learn from everything), and teach. So far I have found Rannsiach, Foghliam, Teasaig. But I also found Sir or Lorg for Seek and ionnsaich for learn or teach.
I was wondering what the best choice for my purposes are, I don't need it in a sentence or anything... think of it more like a slogan. "Seek, Learn, Teach". Please help, I'm so lost.

I'd go for sir, ionnsaich, teagaisg.

My irish gaelic language book has (ag) log for seeking, and foghlaim (f) for learning, (foghlaimionn is learns).

This is a question for Scottish Gaelic though. Giving an answer from an Irish doctionary is like checking a Danish Dictonary for English words wink.gif

Bahishnessly,

I would agree with GunChleoc except I think “Rannsiach” would be more appropriate than “Sir” in the slogan.

Rannsiach, ionnsaich, teagaisg. Rolls off the tongue better in Gaelic

I agree, rannsaich is good, better than my idea biggrin.gif

Note the spelling wink.gif
