Not a big deal, but there have been several times when Rindy and I have been tied for first place, and the game seems to randomly pick only one of us to be king/queen. I don't know how difficult a change would be, but shouldn't all people with the same highest score show as king/queen?

I have two modes: wiseass and dumbass. Mode is determined by current blood alcohol level.
Drinking is a sport. In order to be competitive, you must practice on a regular basis. Although you can practice alone, it is much more fun to practice with friends. If you're out of shape and practice too hard, you will regret it the next day.
Life is a disease. It is sexually transmitted and always terminal.
I think that the way that it is done now is the only fair way to do it. It doesn't seem to be picking them in any random order if you're tied. Just like in soccer, if two teams have the same point standings in the league, you go to the next line, which is goal differential, then goals for then goals against and so on down the line. If you are tied with someone here, it goes then to the number of gold pieces as the tie breaker. I'm assuming if that was also the same the next tei breaker would be food, etc.

"...so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
I think as kingdoms develop it would be natural to have a king/queen for each kingdom, based on their level within the kingdom. This would allow multiple players to be king/queen. Unfortunately, the game has not developed to that point yet.
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer "am I worth dying for?" - Eleanor Roosevelt
The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools. -- Herbert Spencer, English Philosopher (1820-1903)
Wow, I'm ranked number one at the moment. That came as a surprise to me, especially since I started out as ten or eleven today. I'm not sure how long I'll remain up there though. Someone else will most likely have taken the top spot away by tomorrow. If that does happen I'll certainly try my best to get it back.

Would be nice to be a King for a while, but.....I'd need to have a wee bit more of everything that I have already
It's nice to see the progression up thru the ranks as the game goes one, it gives one something to strive for !
As we say in the SCA, VIVATS to all our current royalty....may their rise be swift and may they not rest easily and forget what it's like to get there!
Better by far to be the hand that holds the sword or axe than the head that holds the crown. The throne is no place for a warrior's ass!
I wouldn't say that a throne is no place for a warrior's ass my lord Dogshirt as many Kings and Queens in different countries's history have fought side by side and died on the field with their subjects even some not wearing the Royal Crown nor Royal Armor in order to blend with their men thus preventing capture from the enemy for ransom...Richard Lionheart in the Crusades, the famous Saladdin as well as the infamous Edward 1st that brought down the great warrior Sir William Wallace, Queen Mary of Scots all lead their men into battle as well as Queen Boudieca,Charlemagne, and many more....
So, though I understand your meaning I can honestly say that the throne is indeed a place for a warrior's ass....as Kings and Queens were (at least in medieval time and even before that era) powerful figures and many a good war strategists and leaders on the front. That is why men were proud and honoured to serve and ready to give their lives for King and Country

My fairest Lady of Avalon, Queen of Celtic Radio, knowing that you abdicated the throne will make the next monarch taste not victory but only dust and ashes, for he will not have earned the honor. No matter what happens, you remain Queen in our hearts.
You too are an honorable knight and I know your worth but the time has come for me to abdicate it to the next monarch to rule over all kingdoms and there is no other avenue as you know for me anymore.
It seems that all players looks into the thread and read what is all said but no one bothers to reply...this have nothing to do with insults or anything it's all in the name of fairness to all other players and also give the game its credit and fight for something...as it is now no one makes any move.
It's like there are players out there but they are ghost...you might almost say that only a few show implication into the game, post insults or opinions it's like people are afraid to do anything.
The only one so far that have been all active and real players are the MacInnes and the Bruce....what's happening with all the other ones...they build up a little bit and stop...you see them on...comes and takes a peak in the forums here to read the salty posts and then just go back their merry ways!!!!
People have been crying left and right for lack of action in the game....well it's the people own fault for that...no one is to blame for the inactivity in the game except all the players involved.
Players of other clans must get more involved if they want action,,,no one will do it for them...certainly not the computer and certainly not doing anything except to peak in the topics and just turn around.
Now, lets see this as a new dynamic...to give a chance to all concerned to bring the monarch down and take the Crown for their own.
Let's see it as all the barons of the land have turned against their monarch and won't fight for his cause anymore but for their own.I think it's a great idea and depicts the greed for power of the time as it was then.
Your humble servant Taliesin of the Town of Buchanan begs an audience with the noble Lords and Ladies of this court.
As a loyal servant of the Queen, I would be horrified if any of my lowly vassals thought to raise arms against the rightful Queen of this realm. The men and women of Buchanan only wish to eke out a peaceful existence, farming, mining, and gathering the resources of the small realm which has been bestowed upon us.
If we raise what may only with the utmost grace or dishonesty be termed an army, I can assure Your Majesty and the Lords and Ladies here assembled that such a gathering of fighting men would serve merely to protect and serve the people of Buchanan.
Yea, it has often been said, "Heavy is the head that wears the crown." The responsibilities and cares of directing a realm as vast as Your Majesty's kingdom are far beyond the ken of your most humble servant.
Indeed, if you see me near your vast forces on the battlefield, it is only that I may join my pitiful forces to Your Majesty's to defend this realm from traitors who would betray your most generous benevolence with treachery.
You may count my pitiful realm as standing in support of your decisions, of course, Your Majesty. But I stand by my loyal proclamation in your support.
Ever Faithful,
Taliesin of Buchanan
