Trivia: "Be There Or Be Square" - comes from the 50s and was Art Laboe's catch phrase in SoCal....back in the days of the teen dances at El Monte Legion Stadium and other venues......no I'm not THAT old!...I didn't turn teenage until 1960 but the radio was still a big part of my life.

Be there or be square is just a phrase a girl friend always says to me so I out of habit say it too. I didn't know where it came from....are you trying to make me as old as you? Not going to happen in this lifetime, ha ha you are still older than me!
Never happen....I intend to stay older than you until it's time to shuffle off this mortal coil...but age, even yours, dearheart, is not how I value one's worth, especially in the female gender. Youngies or oldies....it's all about the person not the age.
Iknow....she was born in what? 1985? Which explains how she could be teaching Anatomy in Salinas in the 70s.....NOT!!!
But, I DO have to watch that age thing, especially since I still think I'm yet somewhere in my 20s and most of the women I know are pretty darn young...barely legal in some cases.
I'm actually trying to "grow up" now that I'm 56 and not go out with women under, say 25. Somehow "dating" girls under that age is even beginning to sound to "pervy" to me, too!, no matter how "young" I think or act!
I guess I grew "older" but not "up" in some cases....I'm still a big kid....a responsible big kid, but a kid nonetheless.
I'll try and be there too, but I think we ran out of colors...so I'll be black. Any objections? See ya'll there.
