Migration Failure, Not working / showing ghost results

Lady Leelee and I have been trying to migrate for awhile now. We were successful the first time we tried but since then things have gotten really weird. For myself at first it would just take half my resources and workers but I didn't move. Now the button doesn't even react to me hitting it no matter the situation.

Lady Leelee after her initial migration attempt began receiving over 500 items of unseen news when she hit the migration button, (all donations from non-existent players from 2010) and she is now in my boat with the button not functioning at all. We were smart enough to send most of our resources away before trying but still have spent a great deal of time and resources with several failed attempts.

I haven't tried in several days now and as far as I know neither has Leelee. We are curious if this issue can be looked into and patched/fixed for we are falling behind in game trying to move about.

We can look into this. A brief review of the system does show the reason why you are receiving all of the news messages.

I believe we can fix this, but we might have to do another Game Reset this weekend. We would like to make sure the migration works. Will post an update on here once we figure it out!

Ok, went back and followed through what happens when an account is created and then migrated. At first, I thought there might have been an issue with the system but then it became apparent what the problem is.

There are a quarter of million news items! Kinda hard to imagine with a game like this. But I guess over the 5 years it has built up alot of news and mail items from players that are no longer in the system.

The problem is that through various stages of development some of the routines may not have been working, the site might have been down or we might have been messing with something.

So basically these news and mail items did not get deleted when they should. When you get reassigned a new map id you inherit all of those old previous messaes. It does not mean that you received gold or wood - just the message was never deleted.

When you do migrate you lose half of everything and all of your buildings are reset. So it is not advisable to migrate unless things are complete unbearable. Also it is possible that you might be moved to the same country, not neccessary a new country, but a new spot in that country.

Ok, we did identify one little issue with matching both news and mail after a migration happens. Testing it now and it should be resolved.

Basically mail and some news was not being updated with the new map ID.

This maybe part of the issue too. We will test and make sure it is working properly.

Test and it now works fine. Migration is working.

Just remember how migration works. You never really have control where you will end up. Plus you do lose half your resources and all building troop upgrades.

OK. I am still getting no reaction from the Migration button at all. Nothing changed, it doesn't take my resources, workers, nothing. It just doesn't do anything. I have tested this from multiple computers and browsers. This morning I had an old friend who was no longer playing reactivate their MK account and he was able to successfully migrate. He wound up in the same kingdom as Leelee (3:4).

Could it have something to do with the 3: kingdoms? Leelee and I both are stuck there so it makes one wonder, (though she hasn't tried again yet to my knowledge).

How often can you migrate? Hourly or daily? I will have Mike try to migrate again since he is now in the same kingdom as Leelee and see what happens.

I have tried multiple times to migrate, still no change. It does nothing, its takes nothing. My friend Mike also tried migration again and now that he has moved one time like Leelee and I it appears he is stuck as well. Three people with the exact same problem? Hardly a coincidence, clearly there is something serious going on with migration. Can you guys take a look at it again?

Any idea when this issue will be addressed? Decisions I wish to make in game depend on when this bug will be fixed.

Once again I am asking for assistance with migration, it simply doesn't work and hasn't worked in over 7 months. Nothing has ever been done about this and it's quite frustrating that I am not getting any kind of answers or assistance reguarding this issue. Advising me to simply not try or trying to convince me that I'm just winding up in the same place is obsurd and a bit insulting honestly. If you can't fix it or simply don't have the time to fool with it then just say so. I'm a big boy, I can handle it.
