Night Time Broadcast

Our night time broadcast features soft streaming music between the hours of 12 am and 6 am EST. There are no request allowed during this time. While the majority of our listeners are U.S. based, we would like to try and increase our listenership during these hours for our European and Australian members.

On a trial basis we are going to replace our night time soft music with our regular line of celtic mix music with requests fully open. If we see an increase in listeners during the trial time period, we will leave this as our permanent schedule. So for our European listeners, make sure to tell all of your friends to listen to Highlander Radio if you like this new schedule!

...not to say that I don't listen during the day...I do. But I'm up for most of the night, and my daughters insist now on listening to this when they go to bed, and the soft stuff actually doesn't go over as well. What can I say? Mama was a headbanger.

Well, I've noticed that the music isn't as soft as before, however the requests are still disabled.

Even if it should be decided that the soft music will stay, it would be nice if there were some way to enable requesting songs that fall in that category, or even just enable all requests. That way I could still hear my favorite songs when I'm up late.

I think the main reason for low numbers at night is that the requests haven't been enabled. I think that to truly give this trial a chance, the requests should be turned on. I keep getting a request denied when I try to request a song at night. Is it something I'm doing wrong? Because Mac keeps saying they've been turned on. Has anyone else been able to request songs during this time?

I'll check out the request problem tonight. And seeing how I slept most of today, I should be up late tonight!

Actually, I don't usually sleep most of the day, but have a little cold-flu virus going on.

I think I find the problem and I have corrected one of the scripts. Requests **should** be available now from 12 - 6 am EST or your equiv. time zone. If not, post a message here.
