Allen, I have never heard of that one.  I do know where Madagascar is I had to look it up one time can't remember why now!!!

Mike, I hope you enjoyed your fellowship today!!

I've seen the previews for "Madagascar". It's an animated movie in which four animals from the Central Park Zoo are sent to Africa. Ben Stiller is the voice of the lion, Chris Rock the voice of the zebra, Jada Pinkett-Smith the voice of the hippopotamus, and David Schwimmer the voice of the giraffe. Looks like a good movie.

I have been watching FOTR. I've noticed several sequences that have been added. It is the first time I've rented the extended version.

Mike madagascar sounds really good. I have never seen the extended version of LOTR- is it worth it?

I have a hard time watching or reading a book this time of year... sad.gif but can always listen to Celtic Radio.. walkman.gif thumbs_up.gif

Oh yeah, isn't it 100 times better with the added footage!! I wish more of that intro part had been in the theatrical version; it would have explained things better at the beginning for those not so familiar with the books.
I've always thought at some point I'd get all three movies in their extended versions, and watch them back to back to back... but there never seems to be a day when I can spare that much time! Oh well.

Did you hear the rumors that Peter Jackson might do a film of The Hobbit? Latest word is that he's not, but I wish he would just to see how he'd do Smaug... I bet it would be so awesome!

If Peter Jackson plans to do "The Hobbit" (I've heard he had the Shire sets put in storage), it's nothing more than a flicker in his mind right now. According to IMDb.com., his most recent project, a remake of "King Kong", is in post production. His next project, as of right now, is a film adaptation of the novel "The Lovely Bones".

I bought all 3 Harry Potter movies over the weekend and my wife, daughter and I watched them one after the other. For the first time. LOVED them! When is the next coming out?, he asks, drooling all over his keyboard....

Also bought all 3 LOTR movies, which we had not seen. Not been able to devote the time to watching them like we did the HP movies. Halfway through FOTR and loving it. They're running from the Balrog in Moria just now...

Now waiting for the new Star Wars movie to come out on tape so we can buy and watch all 3 of those.

Has anyone seen Mr. and Mrs. Smith yet? It looks to be a fairly entertaining movie. Not a Brad Pitt fan myself, but I do kinda like Angelina Joile, in spite of her "weirdness". wub.gif

I have all three extended versions of LOTR. Worth the $$.

Actually, I haven't read ANY of the books! My daughter and I bought books 1-3 over the last couple of days and I have just started book 1. We'll probably wait to get books 4-6 when they come out in paperback (can't afford hard backs jsut now).

Thanks Siobhan and Dreamer1 for the addies! I checked them out and REALLY enjoyed the trailer for GoF!

By the way, Tiffany says HI! smile.gif

Harry Potter books 1-5 are all out on paperback already.

The 4th movie should be out November 18th.

Book 6 will be in the stores on November 16th.

As of movies I watched Men with Brooms.

It's a movie about curling. It's pretty funny. One of my favorite actors is in it. Paul Gross. Most people know him as the Mountie Constable Fraser from the series Due South.

Also watched Hellboy. Not bad.

I just watched Swing Kids this morning after I got off work, it was pretty good. My best friend has lent me Bridget Jones The Edge Of Reason to watch so I might watch that tonight at work! happy.gif

Monarchs Own, I have also seen Hellboy and didn't think it was too bad either.

I watched Spiderman II last night for the first time. I thought it was pretty good. I have not seen the first one so had nothing to compare it to.

Believe it or not I have not seen any of the Harry Potter movies. Guess I should, eh?

I have all three LOTR extended version movies and they are all well worth the $$.

Oh! I didn't know 4 and 5 were out in paperback. We bought 1-3 at our local Wal-Mart and they only had those 3 in paperback, the other two were in hardback. I guess that means I'm going to have to make the trek to the closest book store (two counties away! Pretty sad, eh?) to find them!

Sounds like November will a wonderful month for Potter fans!

November will indeed be a good month. I hear the casting of the HP movie is good, the guy who is going to play Voldemort ("He Who Must Not Be Named!!" imagine Dobby's voice...) is a great choice. I've read somewhere that its Ralph Fiennes, with those marvelous eyes.

And Gary Oldman will be back as Sirius Black - he was perfect in the last movie, just as unpredictable as the book portrayed his character.
