Don't worry. The data base administrator has many copies of this forum and will insure that the longivity of this messageboard will continue for eons on end.

The only item that might change is the number of members. There are some members that have not logged in since 2001 so I need to do a little cleanup work.

I took a long close look at what ikonboard is made of (PERL) and have determined that to integrate it with the site would take triple if not quadriple the amount of time. And even then it would not be easily updatable.

We are going with a new messageboard system that I think once completed and integrate into the site will bring in more users. The new messageboard will be transparent so you don't feel you ever leave the mainpage, but rather it is a part of the new design, etc.

Don't worry though, this messageboard and all messages and accounts will be convert to the new database, etc.

Just for the record if it's what I think PHP board then just so users know it's about the same as this forum as far as what you can see and do. Maybe a few slight differences but just as simple. Plus I thik you can also change your subject while editing which I know has been at least a slight issue with Ikonboard as you make a typo and you're stuck with it. But I seem to remember you can edit this as well.  

So not to worry if you get stuck Paul and I would be more then willing to help you out for $100 an hour or maybe a couple cases of Corona or wine  

No just joking for those new here that might be taking me seriously. Support is still free as it always has been.
