Hey everybody, I was just wondering if there is any festivals or games near where I live in Knoxville Tennessee? I might be doing it wrong, but I can't find any on the internet. I would really like to go to one!

The Smoky Mountain Highland Games takes place in Maryville, TN in May each year (http://www.gsfg.org/).

In Dandridge, the Scots-Irish Music Festival takes place on September 29 (http://www.scots-irish.org/)

A bit further, there is the Sycamore Shoals Celtic Festival in Elizabethton on September 7-9 (http://www.shoalsceltfest.com/).

There are also numerous festivals in neighboring states. I've been maintaining a list of festivals on my website since 1998 with more than 500 listings with links to their websites. You can see the whole list at Keltic Nations

You are welcome! I'm sure that you will have a great time. I have pictures of myself as a baby at the Glengarry Highland Games. I have been around festivals my whole life and look forward to them every year.

I know the festival in Ringgold, GA, near Chattanooga is a waste of time. Last year there were only 3 tents there, but they did have good music.
