Doesn't it just make ya sick how much you have to pay for a gallon of gas or liter of Petrol?
What's the price in your area?

Right now in the middle Georgia area we are $1.89 per gallon and $1.59 for diesel. Last weekend people were telling me they are paying as much as $2.10 per gallon....

So what's it going for in your area? How does it make you feel that you have to pay that much for gas?

Today in Michigan the low in the state is $2.02 and the high is $2.31 a gallon. Since a lot of my activities involve driving to other locations, gas prices are making me choose my destinations a little more carefully. I try to get the most out of the trips I make, but I still make them.

I'm involved in a hobby called Geocaching and on our Michigan Geocaching webpage we have the current daily gas prices posted. It helps to know what I can expect as I race across the state in search of these hidden "treasures".

Primium is $2.05 in Okla.

This is a question I hate, and heres why.
If there is a store or product that people or I don't like and wish to boycott, that's fine, I'm sure I kand find another store, product, or do without. but gasoline is a bit different in this regaurd. Now I'm not saying that the rising cost doesn't irritate me, just like rising taxes, or utilities. Not much you can about them. I suppose we can all go buy scooters, or bicycles, or horses. But, if you want to drive your car.... Belly up to the pump, pay the man and move along.
I just feel this arguement is a waste of energy.
And you think we whine, I'd really like to see what people are paying in europe!!!

Oh, you have it good down south. In the Detroit area the average for regular is $2.13. If you go to Meijer (Michigan based store similar to Wal-Mart) you can get it for less. I haven't seen 1.89 for about a month here.

In Southwest, Ohio it is averaging about 2.08 per gallon.
The average price per liter in the UK is 80p. The exchange rate for the American dollar( as of last Friday the 14th) is $1/ £1.782. Making one gallon of petrol around £3.60 or about 6.73, American. There are roughly 3.7853 liters per US gallon. We have nothing to complain about.....And if it is a problem then buy a more fuel efficiant car or car pool, or ride a bike..... wink.gif

Correction I changed the liters/gallons, which also changed the pricing...Thanks, Leo... cool.gif

I was in Chicago last Thursday and Friday with my daughter and her 5th grade class. I saw gas going for $2.30. Ouch! Hasn't gotten that bad here yet.

Republic of Panama, out here in the interior 1 US Gallon is running at 2.45.

Just one incidental correction however, there are about 3.7853 liters per US gallon.

Public busses went on strike today, mostly in Panama City, but also some out in the interior over the disparity between the rise in fuel prices and the bus fares being frozen in place.

Prices have been kept artificially low in the states for a very long time. We are just now catching up to the rest of the world. They will never go down to below$2.00 again I feel. If you feel you need to drag your 150 pound butt around in a 5000 lbs. SUV, it will cost you. king.gif

Fortunately, Saudi Arabia has announced that they will increase production 20%. OPEC hasn't consented to this accross the board, though. Venezuela said there is no way they will increase production. I don't know how much we get from them, but at least having the Saudis increase production may help.

Artificially Low???.....what are you talking about Peckery... are you off your Monkey Meds??

Just because the rest of the world has been paying to much to the oil cartels over the years and seems okay with it is no indication that the prices are artificially low.

It's a racket just like insurance. Anything that can be done to jack the rate will be done legitimate or not. If the oil companies (or their middle eastern counterparts) were not making fat enough margins previous to the recent rate hikes, they would have gone out of business long ago. (and their private jets would have certainly disappeared)

If people quit using as much fuel as a result (like in 1975) the prices would come back down. I know how these guys think (just like my sales manager rolleyes.gif )

They would have been better served to just keep edging the prices up rather than to manufacture their lame excuses for sudden rate increases.

How does it make me feel???? It makes me want to kill them with a chainsaw. (nothing personal unsure.gif )

Peace

Mikel

Gas prices went down here in North Carolina over the weekend!!

Stations who were all over $2 on Friday are $1.94-1.98 today.
