This is VERY simple... I make it all the time.
It only takes about 10-15 preptime.... and about 45 mins to bake
Preheat oven to 400degrees

2 c wheat flour
2c white flour

1/4 c sugar
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tarter
dash of salt. ( I use sea salt)
4 tbsp butter
2 c butermilk

Mix all dry ingr.cut butter into mixture. lightly mix with a spoon or by hand. Make a well in the flour mixture, and add buttermilk. Work until a nice dough consistantcy.
Flour a board and turn the dough. Not too much maybe 5-8 times.. form into a round loaf and place into a floured ( Not Buttered!!) Pan.. ( I use a castiron skillet) Bake for 45-50 mins @ 400 degrees... that's it...
Quick and simple....

Thought I would 'bump' this back to the top since there are a few variations of this floating about.

Cheers!
It is very simple to make, and takes NO time....
