On the subject of Andy Stewart:
My brother and his mate (ex pat Scots allias illegal aliens) were...according to them and I don't doubt it, ejected from a basement bar in Harvard Square Boston around 1986 for being rat arse drunk and heckling the advertised Andy Stewart.
As it turned out not the shorbread tin Andy Stuart we all know and love.
Apparently calling him an imposter and not the real article in front of his American audience. Not that they really gave a toss, they just like that kind of thing.
My brother was so drunk in fact that while being "escorted" out the door he flung out his arm at the top of the flight of stairs at the exit to grab a hand rail, missed, burts open his mates nose and knocked him all the way back down the stairs again. Such fine ambassadors for the Scots Nation.
Anyway,
Wonder if that was thee one and only Andy "M" Stewart that somebody else mentioned in a reply to my earlier mail.
