Welcome to the Ireland discussion forum.  This is the place to discuss Ireland and all that the Emerald Isle represents, from ancient times to the present.  Maybe your a history buff and would like to discuss the battles that were fought to make Ireland what it is today.  Maybe you have a love of music and would like to discuss the kinds of music, the musicians, the artist and the kinds of songs you like.  Have you visited that mystical land that so many of our ancestors immigrated from? Let us know what we are missing and if the oppurtunity should arise and we would be able to take a visit, tell us of what we should see and be a part of.

William Butler Yeats a great poet from Dublin and Nobel Prize winner in literature wrote...
Many times man lives and dies,
Between his two eternities,
That of race and that of soul
And ancient Ireland knew it all.

Ireland, Eire or the Emerald Isle, whatever you might want to call it, to me it is a little bit of heaven on earth.
