Well, our family party was quieter than usual, due to the bad weather. A number of rellies decided not to chance it - and judging by the fact that they cancelled the Hogmanay concert (well, part of it) and the fireworks - they were right to do so....
Soooo, if anyone knows a good home for black bun, scones, steak pie, shortbread, sausage rolls, bridies and other goodies - my cousin has a houseful of the stuff!
(I seemed to come home with more than I donated to the evening!)
HI everyone.. sorry to hear the hogmanay celebrations were cancelled! I'm sure everyone made do with house parites etc...
I celebrated New Year's Yukon style...but jumping in the lake with a bunch of friends... We had to cut a hole in the ice and the temp was -35C... it's dropped to -43 at the moment.... Needless to say... it was a challenge but very invigorating.. We had the sauna going about 15ft away from the hole in the ice, so it wasn't too bad... Us Canadians are a bit of a crazy lot... Happy New Year, and all the best to you for 2004!!!
