I am not a big sports fan, but I have been keeping up with The World Soccer Cup 2002, for some unexplainable reason. It seems Ireland lost their team captain due to an argument with the coach. Such a shame, when Roy Keane is needed most. Any way Ireland played Camaroon on Sat. and they tied. 1-1 Of course everyone knows who I'll be rooting for. (Erin Go Braugh)
I met with Pat (an Irish Friend of mine, living in German) and we went to an Irish Pub to watch the game. It was a very interesting game, not as boring as the last game of Germany against Saudi-Arabia (8-0). And my heart went with Éire... (so I finally decided)...
What a pity that I am not one of birth! But I believe in:You are what you feel like. And I feel like a celt. ::luvbrittany (<-is lacking! It was such a fun! I never drank a stout because I had to drive Pat home after the match but it was great. All people were friendly to each other alike what nation or colour. No hooligans (like in England or Germany, after matches) and no one disturbing the fun. It is an experience that I would recommend to everyone (like an irish-scottish wedding) because the atmosphere and the people are great!
I agree Aon, I am glad to be an American, but Ireland is a place that I long to see with all my heart.
If I ever win the big lottery, I'll invite all my celtic friends for an all expense paid vacation and we can travel Ireland and Scotland together. Will even visit Wales for a time. When I dream, I dream big.
