If you bought the extended version of "Lord of the Rings" this week then you saw 50 more minutes of the movie. It also helped to explain alot of the points in the movie. If you did watch it did you think it was worth the money for the extended version?

I did! I thought it explained the movie better and did fill in some of the gaps.
What did you think?

I have all three of the extended versions and believe that each has done a better job of the movie. The extra 50 minutes in the return of the king did a great job in filling in blanks.

I watched the extended version last night...it was worth buying it in any case! The 50 additional minutes do a great job in working out the characters better and in explaining situations. smile.gif

Not only do the extra 50 minutes fill in blanks, there was some SUPER acting in them. Some of the best lines of the movie are in the added peices. What I thought was Gimili's best line was one of those. I won't spoil it by quoting them, though. biggrin.gif

I personally think the extended versions are really worth it! Of course I love the LOTR!!!!!

I think the original version was way too long to begin with. I can't imagine another 50 minutes.

Well, it will just give me more to cry about. I swear I cried the last 45 mintues or so of the movie!! It was so wonderful!! So, there will be more to cry about (and hopefully laugh about too since it was a pretty emotionally draining movie, IMHO). I have really seen how horrific war is by watching these movies. I mean, I knew, but I didn't "know". You know? biggrin.gif
