What a lovely site this will be and I can't wait to explore it more thoroughly.
My name is Cindy. Himself, me husband Harry and I live in a small town in central Illinois. He runs our own landscaping business with the aid of two of our lads and one of their friends. Small but, controllable! I work for a local excavation company and have for 15 years. YES a dinasour here, so to speak -ha!
We have traveled to the Emerald Isle twice in the past 2 years and will trip over there again in October. We arrive on Oct. 17th in Shannon and depart the 24th. Short but, ever so sweet! The last 3 nights will be spent at Loophead Lighthouse. I can't wait, as I am a huge lighthouse lover.
Anyway, hoping to get to know you all much better every day and glad to be a new member to the family here.

Be sure to take a trip in the direction of Innis Mor. I borrowed a nice long telephoto lens to get a good shot of a lighthouse over there, In town near the dock was as close as I had oppertunity to get. Unfortunately, even with the longer lens, I didn't manage to get as good as shot as I wanted. The lens might have gotten closer, but I couldn't hold the camera still enough.

Hi Cindy!
Ah, how nice you've been to Ireland... its been nearly 7 years since I walked there but it seems like yesterday! I wish I had been able to see more lighthouses while I was there; we only saw one up close, a cliff-dwelling lighthouse in Youghal on the southeast coast. Since I'm from Ga. in the USA, I really enjoyed being in a village pronounced ''ya'll"!
Nearly got blown off the road taking a photo of that danged lighthouse too. The wind was blowing so hard, I think it embedded grit in my contact lenses.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king..."
