Hehe, my bf is a passionate fisher *rolls eyes* you're no calling it a sport though? Sitting around hasn't much of a sport for me wink.gif

Here you can go fishing quite well as far as I am concerned (he's fishing, I'll go walking or swimming somewhere further away).. when my brother was over (also a passionate angler) we went to Lochore Meadows and caught some brown trouts...well they did, me and my brothers GF went walking around it.

Thats a deal. I don't get to fish nearly enough, and you can actually get some decent surf fishing in off the coast of New Jersey (the water conditions have improved dramaticaly over the past few years). My Godson is old enough now to enjoy fishing, so I am going to take him out this spring. His dad is one heck of a Bass angler!

Eamon

I would love to join you! Want to go deep sea fishing as well. I hate worms so when I worm fish I've learned to bait my hook without ever touching the icky things. Other than that it doesn't bother me. Taking a youngster fishing is great fun! They get so excited when they get to real one in.

Worms icky?! I never realized you were just prissy, I always thought your aversion for worns was out of "sport". I'm not sure I can stand the shame. bag.gif laugh.gif

If you want, I can give you a good recipe for Deep Fried Night Crawlers. biggrin.gif

It is just like eating Fried Fresh Mushrooms. tongue.gif

Hey Bro!

I see you're not giving away your mint flavored secret. Afraid serious anglers will laugh at you or do you want to stream test it first? biggrin.gif

little sis who knows your secret cool.gif

My husband is an avid fisherman. I am not that great myself. I will cast out a few times (after I make him bait my hook) and then lose interest in it. I usually end up reading a book. The last time we went we had to leave. We saw about 12 water moccasins and copperhaeds swimming around in the pond and some were trying to go up on the bank where we were, so we got the heck out. I had no desire to get bit because I disturbed a snake when it was taking a nap.

What surprised me was how many snakes we saw. There were a ton of turtles too, and you would think they would keep the snake population down.

Oh Yuck! I don't want to go fishing where you do! I don't do snakes of any type. I would just lose it if I went where you two go. I'd have to stay home!!!!!!
