Enthusiasm for your favorite band is great, and you are certainly welcome to vote for them. biggrin.gif

BUT. (Isn't there always a but?)

...this thread along with the rest of the forum is and shall remain cordial and respectful of other tastes and opinions. Please keep that in mind, and recall the manners your mamas taught you.

Ok. As you were. smile.gif

All this spamming about one album isn't going to help chances. It's not like stuffing a ballot box here. Albannach is a fine band, but be respectful of others on the board. You've said your peace and so is noted the same as any other entry.

Much apologies if we misunderstood. We arent trying to "spam" or "stuff the ballot box"

I know for myself that I thought it would take more than one nomination for a band or song to get into the running for the awards. None of us meant any disrespect to anyone on this forum, fan or musician. If any took offense, I offer up my sincerest apologies. smile.gif

Your enthusiasm is legend, and you've got a good bad to be enthusiastic about. A little too much percussion for my taste, but fun anyway.

This is the nomination thread, not the main vote. Rather an album is mentioned once or 100 times it still has the same odds.

Speaking for myself, apologies accepted.

Thank you for accepting our apologies. smile.gif Will hold our enthusiasm for the vote, where we WILL turn out in our masses LOL (one account per person) laugh.gif

And like it was said in the guidlines for this community, everyone has their own opinion, and that is ok. Not all music is for everyone, and im sure there are some great bands on here, i know last years awards brought some great music to me that i wouldht have heard otherwise, am looking forward to having that same experience again!

Another band I'd like to nominate if we are allowed to nominate more then one, Coyote Run - album - "places" biggrin.gif

My nomination is for The Fuchsia Band - Óró, 'Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile

Are we allowed more than one nomination?

I'd have to second that nomination...

I'd also second the Tommy Makem Four Green Fields nomination...though I think it would be better to make it a "Legends" award. For without Tommy and the Clancy boys none of the rest of the nominated bands would have such noteriety.

I would have no problem going along with that Lengends nomination.

I'm glad to see that the bands that we share the stages with are appreciated so wonderfully on this site!

I'm also ecstatic to see that the support for the Celtic Music is so strong.

NOW...

Take that enthusiasm and get your friends and family to get out to the gigs! There's NOTHING better than seeing educated and excited folks in the crowds!

You'll ALWAYS have a home here at CelticRadio.net to sample the latest fares, and it needs to be shared with everyone you know.

You can nominate anyone you please. You can plug this thread all you want to support your pick! The support is truly appreciated by the musicians.

PLEASE... take that enthusiasm to the streets. This genre of music and this station can't prosper without the love that you display!

GO TO TOWN!!!!!

Time is running out to get your nominations in for the 2007 Celtic Radio Music Awards. Don't leave your favorite Celtic Musician out in the cold - make a nomination now in this thread!

This year we are officially expanding the category to include 1 selection for Album of the Year. The musician or group that receives this award will be presented with the presitage glass Celtic Radio Award (See last year's award).

Winners for each song category will receive a virtual award to display on their website. So hurry up and make that nomination before the end of the year! The voting booth and our special Celtic Radio Music Award program will begin on January 1st, 2008!

The Celtic Radio Music Award is a program sponsored by Highlander Radio to acknowledge and promote exceptional Celtic music across 5 categories of music. Nominations for this award are made throughout the year by listeners and members of CelticRadio.net. After a careful screening process, which is based upon listener nominations, ratings, requests, and other radio statistics; we select 3 songs in 5 categories for community voting. Categories for an award are Celtic Rock, Traditional, Jigs & Reels, Bagpipes and Roots Traditional.

Voting begins on January 1st of each year and ends on March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day). Winners receive recognition of this prestigious award through the induction into the Celtic Radio Hall of Fame and permission to use the Celtic Radio Music Award banner on their website.
