i just wanted to drop a quick note and greet you all. i was looking around the 'net for celtic radio stations so, here i am listening to this good music and exploring this fine site smile.gif i live in the appalachian mts of western north carolina - lots of celtic heritage in these parts and a great brew pub to see some excellent bands. but, alas, no good celtic radio station. i'm glad i found this one.

Yeah what he said. haha! I started to learn how to speak gaelic but I ran out of the free time and drive.

Anyway, welcome to the joint. It is a blast to be here. You're going to enjoy your stay no matter how long or short. Preferrably long of course. Enjoy the music.

Twas St . Patrick himself, sure, that set it;
And the sun of his labour with pleasure did smile,
And with dew from his eye often wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the
Mireland, and they call it the dear little shamrock of Ireland.

Welcome Anhrefn! You have found a wonderful place full of nice people, great music, and lively conversation. I hope your time with us is as enjoyable as as our time has been here.

P.S. just asking for a friend, but you would not happen to have red hair would you?

Hi all . My great great grandparents came from Ireland and settled in Ga. USA.
I have all ways listened to celtic music. My wife on the other hand does not enjoy it as much as I do. I enjoy listen to this station while I am at work. In the Emergency Services it helps me to unwind.

Hi again! I was just wondering... Do you have a Public Radio station near where you live? If so, you might want to find out what their programming schedule is. Where I live, every Sunday afternon from 3pm to 4pm, our local station plays a program called Thistle and Shamrock, an excellent Celtic music program, hosted by a Scottish woman named Fiona Ritchie. I could just sit and listen to her voice all day! wink.gif But the music she plays is excellent indeed! You should check into it.
