Hey everyone,

I will be going to England May 9 - 16th and will be visiting Wales during that time. I am so excited, and will bring back as much stuff from there as I can, as well as lovely pictures for everyone to see. Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. Things have been absolutely crazy for me. Very busy time of year for our office and for school.

Hope everyone is doing great!

We are thinking South Wales, mainly due to time issues. He lives in Cornwall, so that may be closer. You are in the North?

That's wonderful. Can't wait to see the pictures.

And you'll be back just in time to help us move into our apartment. Ok...I'm really just kidding. But, we will be in Cary on the 18th! Yay! Definately have to meet up so you can tell us all about it. smile.gif

I live in Swansea County - South Wales! It's about an hour west of Cardiff and about an hour and a half from the border with England. On a clear day, you can see Devon and Cornwall from Swansea (But not where I live - the Gower peninsula blocks my view of the Bristol Channel, or what I prefer to call the Mor Hafren).

That is awesome! We will be over there! I would love to see Cardiff Castle and a lot of the other areas there. Got any recommendations?

Thanks!

I would suggest Castell Coch just north of Cardiff. http://www.castlewales.com/coch.html

Cardiff Bay is lovely for a summer's evening with high class restaurants and bars.

If you have a car, maybe the Brecon Beacons north of Cardiff.

If you want to practice Welsh, look out for the "Bathodyn Iaith Gwaith" and listen out for really strong Welsh accents. The stronger the accent, the more likely they are to be Welsh speaking

Wonderful! Thanks so much for the suggestions. Where would I hear the Bathodyn Iaith Gwaith? I am trying to start relistening to my CD's and the BBC site so that I can at least say enough to get me in trouble lol.gif

Ah - it is a pin? That is great. I will have to get one then. I have looked that website over before, but hadn't been on in awhile. Great stuff.

I really hope she's enjoying Wales. Did she say where she had been so far?
