Hello again, English Mix. Haven't been to those, so I couldn't tell you anything about them. Wasn't sure if I had sent you the link to this site. I believe these games are coming up in a few weeks.

http://www.glasgowhighlandgames.com/

I believe several of us here in Henderson may try to go, have to check with the wife first and see what her work schedule looks like for us.

Thanks Ranger!

The Glasgow games do look promising and I will have to see what our plans are, too. I am planning to go Scottish Weekend in Carrolton this Saturday - that is, if I can get my yard work done first in all this rain. Why this weekend might end up being a festival in a mud puddle. When will this rain stop?

LOL! It usually doesn't this time of year. We had a soccer tournament at Kentucky Lake this past weekend and it was more like a mud bowl. It should slow down by the end of this month...I hope. If not we'll be playing games through the end of June with all of the make-ups we have to this date. Enjoy Carrollton. Let us know how it goes. Sample a few for me.... beer_mug.gif

Today (Saturday) I went to the Kentucky Scottish Weekend, and it was fun. My first time to such an event. Despite all the rain this past week, it was a beautiful day. Coyote Run and Alex Beaton were excellent music groups. And the pipes & drums, Scottish dancing and food were a delight.

I work there, so my opinions may be biased, but I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about it.

Hey PhillipMcGuiness, thanks for the post.

Looks like Albannach will be playing this coming weekend and the next. So one can save on tickets by ordering ahead on line at www.kyrenfaire.com I take it that the day ticket also covers the price of seeing Albannach perform?

If one would go this coming weekend or the following, per the agenda and events, which one would you pick?

Yes, you save $2 for each ticket by ordering online, and once you're in there's no extra charge for Albannach or any of the other performers.

I don't think there's any difference in the scheduled events those two weekends. There are different themes for each weekend...this coming weekend is Romance Weekend, and the following is Masquerade Weekend. The themes don't really change the events at all, just the antics the cast members get up to in the streets and stuff. There won't really be any difference between the two weekends except perhaps weather. wink.gif

If you show up to the faire, please do find me and introduce yourself! I'm one half of the act Drunk & Sailor.
