Thanks! And I notice from your signature that you have clan affiliations with the Clan Ross. Mines the Clan Rose Have heard that these two clans are fairly closely related but haven't been able to verify if true or not. Anywho thanks for the link not that I will be able to make it being on east coast but for those who are on west coast and haven't ever been to a highland games they are allot of fun so if you have time I suggest you give it a try if you're in driving range their allot of fun. :D

It is such a small world now-a-days!

I just wish I could get my wife to post a message - had to practically beg her to sign up. Of course, she believes that if she were a computer monitor she would get more attention from me! :)

Thanks ChocolateFilk for posting the information on that Highland Game. Appreciate it!

Kate and I are both computer nuts, we sit ten feet apart in our computer room. We sometimes send email to each other to let the  other know something!!

Chocolate Filk of Clan Ross thinks his wife is a very beautiful Lady!!

The San Diego Highland games are neat, I spent the most of the games at a soundboard and did not see much. (Though I did get a chance to visit the Clan Ross Booth for a few minutes). One nice thing about my stage was it was next to the Athletics and the gathering of the bands. Listening to 100+ bagpipes playing at one time was awesome!!!

I am just happy to have found a forum to talk to GROWN UPS! Since I left teaching I feel as if my brain is turning to tapioca! :(

I am interested in promoting Scottish Pride and Heritage in my area of Kentucky. To that end, I am posting a link to a local Tartan Day event which will be held this April.

There is also a Highland Festival in the works for the fall. I will post more information regarding this as soon as plans become more finalized. Meanwhile, if you hear of any other events to be held in Kentucky - please post them here! :D

Hi

You should post some info on your Clan under the clans page. I did up a short thing on my family connection to the Clan Rose (Also in same general area of Scotland) with the clans tartan and badge.

Also I noted the games are still awhile away but I have a neat idea I am going to run by Paul and he'll post it here if he likes the suggestion. That way we can help the site and forum grow into a great celtic community.
